Shades of Spring | Burst of Spring with Joni

Hello Everyone Joni here, sharing this flower card I made using the recent released Sugar Rush with past released Winter Woodland stamp set. I am using both this stamp set a little different than what it’s intended to be.

To begin my card, I first stamped the cupcake wrapper image from Sugar Rush stamp set on a fuchsia cardstock with red ink pad. Next, I stamped the wood slice image from Winter Woodland stamp set in dark yellow ink. Then smooshed the green ink pad on the side of the white cardstock, this where I will cut the stem and leaf for the flower card.

Here’s just another look of the assembly stage of the card. In this image I cut the leaf and stem. I also cut fussy cut the wood slice for the center of the flower and the cupcake wrapper for the petals.

To assemble the card I die-cut the vellum for the bottom panel, this is larger than the two top panels using the large dotted rectangle die from the Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set. The other two top panels Kraft and watercolor paper were cut from the smaller dotted rectangle die from the Essentials: Katharine Cutaways. I then, adhered the flower I created added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh in Watermelon and Sparkling Clear to finish off the card.

The sentiment I used on the middle of the card is from the all-time favorite of mine A Tree for All Seasons stamp set. Here’s another look of the card.

I hope you guys enjoyed and have inspired you to look at your stamp sets a different way.
