Hey everyone, I have a baby card to share with you today. This is a clean and simple with dimension. Hope you like it. Here is the card for you.
I really love how this card turned out. Although this was not in the plan while making the card. I wanted to make a baby card and use In a Word: Baby cutaway. Also I wanted a subtle background and a dressed up Baby Cutaway. So after going through the stash, I picked Lola's Bouquet stamp set to dress the Baby Cutaway. I stamped the floral images and leaves using Altenew Pink Diamond and Bamboo inks on the Baby cutaway. I also die cut three more Baby cutaway using pink cardstock. Then I stacked and glued the three pink die cuts with the stamped die cut on top.
For the background, I used Creative Screening Madison and sponged Hickory Smoke distress ink lightly to get subtle pattern on a white panel. I used the same In a Word: Baby cutaway to die cut in the middle of the background panel. I adhered the negative panel on a white card base. Then I inlaid the stacked dimensional Baby die cut on the panel.
The secondary sentiment from The Big, the Bold and Baby stamp set is white heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock and sponged with Pinklicious ink to tie in with the pink colour on the Baby dimensional sentiment. The sentiment strips are trimmed and adhered as shown using foam adhesives. To tie in all the pink colours on the card, I added three shades of pink sparkly enamel dots from Doodlebug Cupcake Sprinkles.
I absolutely love the soft colours and lots of white on this card. All supplies used to make this card are listed below.
Hope you got inspired and share with us if you recreate this card.
First, I have been rather remiss in properly introducing our new Video Publicist, Crystal Thompson. I have had the pleasure of hanging out with Crystal and she is a joy to be around: warm; funny; friendly; creative; and helpful. She was our Leading Lady back in June 2017. I love her can-do attitude, zest for life, confidence and keen interest in creativity including the business side of it.
She joined The Talent back in January and has been adding videos to our YouTube channel every month since. I hope you enjoy them and let us know if there are any particular tutorials you are interested in seeing in the future.
I wanted to you learn a bit more about Crystal here and then see her awesome latest video. Continue reading till the end to get the details about the giveaway.
>>>ABOUT CRYSTAL<<<
1. Favorite snack(s) while creating: Is a glass of wine considered a snack? lol. If not, raw baby carrots are my usual go to.
2. Color combo I can’t get enough of: Mint, pink and gold!
3. On my desk/table right now is: A crafty mess, my full planner and kid toys.
4. I excel at: I don't know if I "excel" at anything. But I certainly feel I make lots of friends easily.
5. When I craft I: watch tv/movies; listen to music; listen to the voices in my head; and/or prefer silence: I put on my headphones to tune out the 4+ kids and listen to audio books on my phone. I enjoy a good mystery.
6. My favorite crafting companion: I like to craft alone, it's probably because I do not get time to myself without an interruption.
7. Don’t you dare take this away from me: My phone! I use it for music, audio books, remote to the tv, my books, the pattern for my knitting. Yikes!
8. My favorite crafting holiday/event: I love creating for Christmas. There are so many possibilities for color combos, I love the weather that totally makes it acceptable to spend the day creating since "the weather outside is frightful".
9. My pictures are mostly of: The kids! Or as we like to call them "the muffin people".
10. When I grow up I want to be: An Olympic gymnast, who doesn't want to do back-flips on a balance beam, am I right?!

It is time for the second and final project post by our very first Documentarian, Flóra Mónika Farkas.
Don't miss out on her introduction HERE or her (impossibly) adorably layered layout HERE.
It has been such an honor to have Flóra kick off this feature and she has done such an exceptional job showing her range and depth of skill with her two dynamic and eye-catching layouts. I hope you have been as inspired by Flóra as I have! Perhaps you (and I) will try some of her techniques on your memory keeping projects or even on other crafting projects.
Today's layout is not only gorgeous, but very cleverly executed!
Once again, Flóra....
Hi dear Ladies! I am back with the second post as Winnie & Walter March Documentarian. If you missed my first post you can check it here. Again, I made a 12x12 scrapbook page, but for this layout I used tons of flowers. If you know me, not a surprise I love the make different wreaths on my layouts, just like this one.
First, I grabbed a regular smooth white cardstock and draw a huge circle in the middle. Then, I stamped many many gourgeous flowers, leaves and branches with green, pink, orange and blue inks. I loved to play with In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies with Lydia Evans and In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya Stamp Sets. This took few hours to finish it, but I enjoyed so much the process. Once the stamping was done I cut out the circle and backed the layout with a same white cardstock.
I choose a pink thread and machine stitched around the circle. It gives extra texture but also fix the two papers together. After this I pull out my black ink and stampend pretty and menaningful sentiments from Sentimental: Endearments Stamp Set around the circle.
Next, I cut out gorgeous flowers and leaves with In Bloom: Maggie's Roses Cutaways. What a gorgeous product! To be honest I didn't have matching papers, so I covered white papers with the same inks I used for the wreath and I got customized cardstocks.
In the end I stamped my title using In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies with Lydia Evans Stamp Set and Die Cut. I highlighted with foam tape. Something was still missing so I stamped tiny black dots around the wreath. It was so fun and big honor to be the Winnie & Walter March Documentarian. Thanks for the guest designing opportunity! I hope you find inspirational my projects and you got new ideas how to use your Winnie & Walter Stamps and Cutaways on future scrapbook layouts. Flóra

Today is the first Saturday of June which means the debut of our June Leading Lady, Crystal Thompson! This past January I had the privilege of hanging out with some of the amazing ladies from the Talent including meeting Heather's friend, Crystal. Then, I recalled a lovely card Crystal had made for a challenge in particular because she had used Heather's photography set up (you know how you can identify some people's cards by the styling, right?) and connected the card with the crafter. Crystal immediately made such a wonderful impression as being someone passionate about papercrafting and being a fabulous person. Her work has a clean and simple vibe with thoughtful touches and just a perfect dash of the dramatic. You may have seen her work recently as a guest for Pretty Pink Posh for their March Release or on Butterfly Reflections, Ink.'s blog. Not only does she craft, but she has also designed stamp sets with Joy Clair too like this darling set HERE! This month she will be taking us all on a creative journey of her own design sure to leave us inspired. Crystal has some other inspiration planned throughout the month elsewhere so make sure you follow her on Instagram and Facebook too! Please give Crystal a big round of applause to welcome her as she steps onto the stage for her first performance as our June Leading Lady!
Hi there! First of all, thank you so much for spending your Saturday here with us. My name is Crystal and I am honored to be Winnie and Walter's June Leading Lady. I been working hard this past month creating a few cards with the wonderful Spring release.
Before I show you my first project, I'd like to tell you a bit about me.
I am a stay at home mom and wife of 4 kids, 2 Labradors and 1 kitten. Our littlest bundle of joy was born in April, so between diaper changes and chasing toddlers I create cards and share them on my blog (www.crystal-thompson.com). I have been a longtime fan of Winnie and Walter and in January, I had the pleasure of meeting Shay at CHA in Phoenix. Our friendship was instantaneous and I absolutely love her zest for anything crafty plus she is super fun.
Shay, Shimelle Laine, Yours Truly, and Heather Hoffman
Enough about our adventures, here is my first project.
I wanted to create something simple and elegant, perfect for the post Mother's Day gifting without using any dies. Just stamping and layering. First I used the grateful sentiment from The Big, the Bold and Blessingsstamped over and over in black ink on the card base. Next, I trimmed the white card stock to fit 1/4 of the card base and stamped the leaves from In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya. Then, I stamped the sentiment fromThe Bid, the Bold and Blessings on the card front.
The pink card stock was then adhered to the card front, then glued over the card base. On a separate sheet of card stock, I stamped more leaves and flowers fromIn Bloom: Lola's Bouquet and fuzzy cut those to be placed over the stamped leaves on the card front.
This card can be replicated with different sentiments and color schemes. I love how simple it was to make, and the flowers really are the focal point.
Giveaway:
Now, as your June Leading Lady, I been given a $30 gift certificate to pass on to you. All you have to do is comment on my Winnie & Walter posts on my blog! At the end of the month, I will draw a name from the comments! I will be posting every Saturday, so if you comment on each post you have 4x the chances of winning.
That is all for now, hope you join me next Saturday for another card! Have a fabulous week.
Hi there everyone and happy Friday!
Today I have a bold, bright one-layer floral card with a little bit a simple masking. I am so looking forward to summer and this is kind of like summer flowers, right?!?!
I started by masking out a circle, to do this I simply cut out a circle from a sticky note- you could use a die or draw a circle and cut it out it's totally up to you! I then stamped my florals around the edge of the sticky note circle. I used In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet and a number of bold, bright dye inks. As you can see I didn't mask the flowers or leaves out and simply stamped over images, it gives a fun, carefree look.
I do love how fresh and summery this looks!
For the sentiment I used Wishing You, I removed the stick note after I was finished with the floral stamping and stamped the sentiment in black inside the masked out circle.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope this card made you smile!
It's Shay here and I am so happy w&w can participate in this 2 day hop in honor of A Blog Named Hero's 5th Anniversary. We were a sponsor a while back and loved working with the talented ladies of A Blog Named Hero!
You should have come from the incredible Kathy Racoosin's blog. If you are lost please go to A Blog Named Hero.
Each of the 2 days will have different prizes so be sure to visit A Blog Named Hero for more details on Saturday's post.
Now that you know where you are and hopefully are in the correct place, let me share a couple of simple cards I made for you.
Big surprise I decided to concentrate on stamping a background for my cards and I used In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya on white cardstock. I stamped the larger and middle sized solid roses in Tim Holtz Distress Inks (larger in spun sugar and the smaller in shaded lilac) and then stamped the coordinating modern rose detail for the larger rose in picked raspberry adding some other colors at times salty ocean, mermaid lagoon and seedless preserves and for the medium rose in seedless preserves, salty ocean and mermaid lagoon. The leaves were stamped in mowed lawn and the dots in crushed olive.
I then adhered the panels to white card bases and added the sentiments ("cheers" from My Monthly Hero December 2016 which just happens to still be in stock and "thank you for your kindness" from Acts of Kindness CL911--a must have) I stamped with Versafine in black on a strip of white cardstock and adhered with dimensional foam adhesive. Lastly I added some sparkly sequins.
I hope you have enjoyed my cards and you are inspired to ink up your Hero Arts stamps! :-) A big congrats to Jess + Lisa and everyone at A Blog Named Hero. Wishing you many, many more happy years of creating and inspiring.
