Hooray with Laura

Hey everyone! It's Laura here from makingcardsisfun.com and today I am happy to be posting on the Winnie & Walter blog again. I am focussing on three things that I love the most... watercolors, sequins and glitter.

First, I heat embossed lots of stars using our Big Bang Confetti stamp set. You can't see it clearly on the full image, but on the close up you will see that the stars overlap each other. It gives a fun and playful look. The stars were heat embossed using my favorite glitter embossing powder (Neutral Ultra Shimmer by Wow!). Afterwards, I watercolored the entire piece using the Simply Art watercolor palette. 

After lots of thinking, I decided to create a sequin shaker using the Studio Calico Hooray by Splendid Fiins die cut. Creating a sequin shaker is really fun and easy to do. Please click HERE for a video where I created a sequin shaker (it's another card using lots of Winnie & Walter stamps!). I filled up the shaker using Pretty Pink Posh sequins (4 and 6mm Aquamarine, 4 and 6mm Mossy Green, 4 and 6mm Fresh Mint, 4 and 6mm Sparkling Clear sequins). On the inside of the shaker I stamped a fun birthday greeting using the Winnie & Walter Bubble Talk stamp set. This is my favorite Winnie & Walter stamp set. 

I wanted to go sparkly and happy with the "hooray" greeting so I covered up a piece of black cardstock with Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing powder from Wow. Then, I used the Studio Calico Hooray by Splendid Fiins die cut again and adhered it on top of the acetate. Finally, I finished off my card using the same Pretty Pink Posh sequins. :)
