It's that time again when we Share the Love. For five days we express our love for a company and/or product and use it with Winnie & Walter products.
This week we are concentrating on Simon Says Stamp. Headed by the lovely Heidi Klausing Crowl, Simon Says Stamp has been fostering the love of stamping for over 10 years! Who would dare miss their upcoming STAMPtember(R) event? Not us! With wonderful people working at every level of Simon Says Stamp not only do they carry a plethora of awesome products, they also produce their own brand of amazing products with such talent as Kristina Werner and Shari Carroll as designers (we *love* them too!). Then they also have challenge blogs, terrific design team members AND support numerous challenges and events online. What is there not to love? Did you know they were also the first wholesale supplier of Winnie & Walter stamps. Yep, they have a special place in our hearts.
To celebrate this truly special and spectacular company we are going to have challenges, inspiration and giveaways all 5 days! We want to have you play along too.
Today our challenge is: RAINBOW COLOR/COLOUR PALATTE!
Simon Says Stamp kindly sent us all a stamp set. Julie and I were sent their Thought Bubble stamp set. I love that set so much I had bought the Thought Bubble stamp set and coordinating die previously. For my first card with the rainbow color/colour palette I wanted to use this stamp set and die set.
I began by stamping the border of outline triangles from Scenery: Rectangled and Triangled in black ink. I then used the solid triangle with Tim Holtz Distress Inks by Ranger in fired brick, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, mowed lawn, salty ocean and dusty concord. Over the rainbow triangles I sewed a smaller layer of vellum to soften the color in the middle of the card. Over the vellum I attached a black speech bubble cut with the larger speech bubble die. Over the black speech bubble I attached with foam dimensional adhesive a white speech bubble stamped with sentiments from the Thought Bubble stamp set. I also attached a heart speech bubble die cut from an older piece of My Mind's Eye patterned paper. I added the triangle panel to a black panel which I then attached to an A2 white card base.
Now for the excitingly vibrant and rainbow-bright projects by Gayatri, Lea, Mayuri and Vanessa of the Talent! We hope we inspire you to create some Simon Says Stamp + Winnie & Walter projects showcasing a rainbow of colors/colours!The Talent
