Dotty About You with Lydia Evans has several fun and funky layering options of organic shaped dots, and an outline "you" which can be used with the other sentiments in the set or with other stamp sets.
We have a beautiful addition to the In Bloom series from Lydia Evans! In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies with Lydia Evans has lots of layering options, as well as the ability to just use the outline image to color in as well as beautiful sentiments. We are introducing coordinating cutaways for the stamp set as well.
We've added True Dotty Heart Cutaways which is the same size and shape as True Multifaceted Heart Cutaways. We've added a polka dot heart, signature pierced detailed heart and scalloped heart which is slightly larger than the other hearts for layering options.

I took on a color scheme of Something Borrowed, Fiesta Blue, Tiara, Lime Rickey and Grass Green with some touches of gold too for my cards today.
For the completely dotty card I created a pattern using the Dotty About You with Lydia Evans stamp set on a white cardstock panel. This set is full of great images that can be layered or stamped alone. I flicked gold spray over the panel. After setting the panel aside to dry, I cut a strip away from the panel diagonally and then reattached the pieces to a blue card base with dimensional foam adhesive. I stamped "you" from the stamp set in Something Blue, watercolored it in with the same ink color and then cut it out using the Dotty About You with Lydia Evans Cutaways "you" base die. I also stamped the other part of the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock. I added the strip directly to the card and "you" with foam dimensional adhesive. I love that this is a non-traditional love card which would be great for a guy or someone who appreciates puns and unique cards. Change up the sentiment and this card would be perfect for a teenager's birthday or congratulations.
Now for something a lot more feminine using the same colors. In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies with Lydia Evans is so dainty and lovely. What I also love about this set is that since all the layers purposely do not align perfectly to give you an artistic flair you can't mess up. Off a little, not a problem...it looks wonderful.
I stamped all the flowers with a single ink color, Something Borrowed...I kid you not. I simply would stamp off once (second generation) or twice (third generation) for lighter shades. For the leaves I used either Lime Rickey or Grass Skirt using the same method of second or third generation stamping. I cut out the flowers and leaves using the In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies with Lydia Evans Cutaways.
I die-cut the polka dot heart from True Dotty Heart Cutaways from white cardstock.
I am a lover of dots so the new True Dotty Heart Cutaways are near and dear to me. Now there is a trick to the dotty heart die. You will notice that several of the dots around the border of the heart don't cut fully...don't worry this is on purpose. If you want to get the full effect simply fold in the partial circles where they are cut and snip the overhang of paper from the back. This takes a little time, but the results are worth it and you get a lovely dot design without compromising the shape of the heart. If you are comfortable with an x-acto knife by all mean use that.
Another great thing about True Dotty Heart Cutaways is that it is the same size and shape as True Multifaceted Heart Cutaways so they can all be used together.
I adhered the clusters of flowers and leaves to the heart. I stamped the smaller "beautiful" (the smaller beautiful is the same size as the large words from previous Lydia Evans sets) in Something Borrowed and cut it out using the die. I also stamped the supporting sentiments and cut them into little tiles and adhered them to the heart.
For the card base, I stamped the largest scattering of dots stamp from Dotty About You with Lydia Evans (this is sure to become a favorite of mine) in Tiara, Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt around the area I was going to adhere the heart. I then flicked gold spray and set it aside to dry. Once dry I attached the adorned heart with dimensional foam adhesive to the panel which was all attached to a blue card base.

I am really excited to share what we've created for you this week. :-)
Let's see what I came up for you today:
I took on a color scheme of Something Borrowed, Fiesta Blue, Tiara, Lime Rickey and Grass Green with some touches of gold too for my cards today.
For the completely dotty card I created a pattern using the Dotty About You with Lydia Evans stamp set on a white cardstock panel. I also stamped the other part of the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock. I added the strip directly to the card and "you" with foam dimensional adhesive. I love that this is a non-traditional love card which would be great for a guy or someone who appreciates puns and unique cards.

I stamped the smaller "beautiful" (the smaller beautiful is the same size as the large words from previous Lydia Evans sets) in Something Borrowed and cut it out using the die. I also stamped the supporting sentiments and cut them into little tiles and adhered them to the heart.

I then flicked gold spray and set it aside to dry. Once dry I attached the adorned heart with dimensional foam adhesive to the panel which was all attached to a blue card base.
My last card is all about experimentation and just going with the flow. I wanted to create a flower using the starburst die from Dotty About You with Lydia Evans Cutaways using yellow-orange cardstock and that was the only plan I had...the rest of what happened just came about as I went along. So somehow I ended up adhering 3 of the starbursts together, curling up the edges, cutting off some of the edges and adhering a large gold enamel dot to the center. Behind where I intended to place the starburst flowers I stamped the largest scattering of dots stamp from Dotty About You with Lydia Evans in Tiara and Fiesta Blue (originally to add some interest and tie in the colors to the background). I used a water brush and Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt to create the stem and leaves. I noticed the Fiesta Blue dots looked sort of like a flower so I decided to make it even more apparent. I then used the largest solid organic dot from Dotty About You with Lydia Evans to stamp in Fiesta Blue using first and second generation 5 times in a flower sort of shape. I flicked some gold (because why not?) on the panel and stamped the sentiment from In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies with Lydia Evans in Something Blue and Fiesta Blue. I then cut the pierced scallop design and cut the white panel using the small scallop die from Georgette Border Cutaways. I adhered a panel of matching yellow-orange cardstock to the bottom of a white card base and then adhered the flower panel over that.
Yikes, I wrote a book. If you read through this all you are a very patient and kind person. lol
