Today is all about the In a Word series which has a consistent length to all it's big words. We are introducing a new stamp set to the series: In a Word: Love stamp set which has the stamp form of In a Word: Love Cutaway, an outline of the same word, a new elegant "love" and then a handwritten "merry" along with a few little images and smaller yet still bold supporting words.  We hope you find this set an invaluable part of your crafting arsenal!  Want coordinating cutaways to the stamp set? We've got that too with the In a Word: Love Coordinating Cutaways.

A close relative of our In a Word series is the new In a Phrase series which begins with In a Phrase: Hugs & Kisses with Angelica Suarez which is handwritten by Angelica and works well on it's own or with other products.

We are also coming out with another of our traditional In a Word cutaways: In a Word: Cuddles Cutaway.  These dies are so fun and versatile that they will go with any style of crafting and since they are a bit chunkier than our The Big, the Bold series they would be ideal for some shaker projects too. :-)

Another very exciting addition to the w&w shop for our February 2018 Release are Catherine Pooler Designs inks.  With beautiful coverage, gorgeous colors and the ability to watercolor with them, we know you will love them as much as we do!  We are highlighting the first 6 of the 12 ink colors we are introducing today and the second tomorrow!

Happy February everyone!  Not only are you joining us for our February 2018 Release Week, but we are also celebrating our w&w 4th Birthday Bash all month long!  For more details, please CLICK HERE.

You will notice this release is a bit different as I along with the help from a member or two of the Talent will be sharingshowcasing some projects each day with the featured items. We will be sharing more from the Talent this month.

I am really excited to share what we've created for you this week. :-)

Let's see what I came up for you today:

First up are a couple of cards using red, grey and gold.  Not only did I have fun playing with In a Word: Love (the stamp set), In a Word: Love Coordinating Cutaways and In a Phrase: Hugs & Kisses with Angelica Suarez Cutaway with these cards, but I also really enjoyed the inks. 

For the love, love, love, love card I began by stamping the solid love from In a Word: Love (the stamp set) in Rockin' Red and each additional love I did not reink and just stamped it again for a wonderful ombre effect...this ink is perfect for second (third and even fourth generation stamping!) and this card happens to have many of the colors found in the w&w 4th Birthday Bash Inspiration Challenge with Gayatri also by coincidence I stamped love 4 times with fourth generation stamping so this card would be perfect for the w&w 4th Birthday Bash Four Challenge with Shay!  By the way, I really love this deep, vibrant red and the shades of pink you can get from it.  Now, I will warn you that the Rockin' Red ink in particular stains your stamps for those who keep their stamps pristine.  

I then filled in the spaces with some of the supporting words and the smaller heart from the stamp set in Black Jack (a lovely charcoal grey ink!) and flicked it with gold spray.  I adhered the panel to a grey card base.  I cut out the handwritten love out of gold cardstock and it's larger layer from grey cardstock both from In a Word: Love Coordinating Cutaways and adhered them together before adhering them to the card.

For the hugs & kisses card I sponged white cardstock with Rockin' Red ink and cut out In a Phrase: Hugs & Kisses with Angelica Suarez from the the cardstock (the positive went to another card you will see a bit later), but I really liked the negative (which is me using my scraps just like you can do to enter our w&w 4th Birthday Bash Use Your Scraps Challenge with Kelly!) so I flicked some gold spray on it and using dimensional foam adhesive attached it to a panel of grey cardstock and then added a little scalloped border (more on that tomorrow) before I attached it all to a white card base.  

I went a bit wild with the inks for my next couple of cards:

Do you see that color?!?   So amazing.  For these cards I used In a Word: Love Coordinating Cutaways, In a Phrase: Hugs & Kisses with Angelica Suarez Cutaway and In a Word: Cuddles Cutaway.

For the XOXO card, I cut three rows of the XOXO die from In a Word: Love Coordinating Cutaways out of a piece of white cardstock.  On another piece of white cardstock I used Rockin' Red, Tiara and Fiesta Blue inks and blended them together.  They blend very well and create wonderful variations in color as you can tell as that is only 3 ink colors to create all of those colors.  I attached the XOXO panel over the rainbow panel and then adhered it to a white card base with foam dimensional adhesive. I then adhered the red hugs & kisses from In a Phrase: Hugs & Kisses with Angelica Suarez Cutaway onto the stripe. You may remember that hugs & kisses as being the same cut out of the panel from the above red, grey and gold hugs & kisses card.

For my last card I went all in with inking and color.  I used the Rockin' Red, Orange Twist, Tiara, Grass Skirt and Fiesta Blue inks and blended them onto a piece of white cardstock.  A bonus of the Catherine Pooler Designs inks are they are reactive to water which makes me so happy.  I flicked the panel generously with water.  I cut out cuddles from In a Word: Cuddles Cutaway 3 times out white cardstock and glued then together.  I pressed the top layer into Versamark and using tweezers to hold the cuddles poured gold embossing powder over the cutaway and heat embossed it.  I adhered the cuddles to a die-cut heart (more on this later this week) which was adhered to the rainbow panel with dimensional foam adhesive before adhering it onto a white card base.  Last I added some gold glitter enamel dots.
