I started by stamping the thickest of the stripes from Scenery: Stripes all over my card blank in a light grey ink. I love the look this gives, even though it's subtle it really does add to the card.
I then die cut In A Word: Hello Cutaway 4 times from white card and once from this pretty patterned paper from Pinkfresh. I then layered these all up adding the patterned one on the top. I added this into place in the centre of my card black before covering with A Wink Of Stella and Glossy Accents for shine.
To embellish I added die-cut elements (again from Pinkfresh) and a few blue Nuvo droplets.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
I hope this inspired you to try out subtle stripes in your backgrounds. See you again soon.

beautiful card :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration, Lydia! I need to use my Pinkfresh goodies & I've been wanting to try die cutting a word from printed paper--now maybe I will! Oh yes, I do "need" that set as I only have the newer one. Your subtle stripes look wonderful!
