Home | Joy with Heather P.

Hi, everyone! Heather P. here, and it's my turn on the Winnie & Walter blog today to share the card I've created using the theme "home" as inspiration.

To create my tag, I started by die cutting a tag shape, then stamping it with the wreath image from Happy Christmas in Versafine ink, then covering it with clear embossing powder.  I then stamped the Joy sentiment from Merry & Bright with Evelin T Designs in Versafine ink and covering it as well with clear embossing powder.  Once that was done, I heat embossed both the wreath and sentiment to set the powder.  The wreath was then colored with watercolor pens, and background stripes were added with heavily diluted black watercolor.

While the wreath was drying, I stamped the bow from Merry & Bright with Evelin T Designs onto watercolor paper in Versafine ink, and heat embossed it with clear powder before coloring it.  I then stamped one of the house images from Our Town in the center of the wreath using yellow ink.  Once the bow was dry, I fussy cut it out and adhered it to the tag front.  Teal, green and silver metallic twine were braided together and attached to the tag, and then a yellow bow was added to the front.  To finish up, the house and bow were covered with sugared Stickles.

That wraps it up for me today, thanks for stopping by! :)
