Home | Sparkle & Shine Challenge with Vanessa

Hi everyone! Vanessa here with a card for the monthly theme of November: home. I love the new release so much and couldn't stop creating with it, so I used my new stamps and dies to create a card for the current Sparkle & Shine Challenge sponsored by Winnie & Walter! The challenge started yesterday and the winner will receive a 25$ gift card from Winnie & Walter. This is the inspiration photo for this challenge:

Perfect, isn't it? So many possibilities! I chose to be inspired by the chevron pattern and the leaves:

I started with a panel of chevron patterned paper that I trimmed to be slightly smaller than my card base. I applied gold ink splatters to it and adhered it to the card. Then I die-cut the In a Word: Home Cutaway from gold foiled cardstock and adhered it. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the leaves from In Bloom: Renee's Leaves onto watercolor paper. Using Distress Inks and water, I colored the leaves. Then I cut them out and adhered them to the card with foam tape. To finish the card off, I added gold sequins.
