I have used the same creative screening (Scenery: The Leaf Effect Creative Screenings) for both cards.
I hope you can join in the challenges and i cant wait to see what you make. Thanks for looking!
Hello, it's Kate here and it's my turn to share a challenge with you for World Card Making Day!
My challenge for you is create a project using stencils.
I have used the same creative screening (Scenery: The Leaf Effect Creative Screenings) for both cards.
The first card
uses the stencil with various autumnal inks.
I then used In Bloom: Renee's Leaves with coloured card and patterned paper to go behind the main
sentiment from In a Word: Happy (the stamp set).
The sentiment
was heat embossed with gold glitter powder and die cut with the coordinating cutaways.
To finish i added some gold stickles.
The second card has used the same stencil but to create an embossed background.
To finish i added some gold stickles.
The second card has used the same stencil but to create an embossed background.
As i wanted to
keep it monochrome i wanted the background embossed for extra detail.
i added some
perfect pearls to give some splatters and shimmer.
under the main
sentiment i have added silver thread then to finish added sequins.
I hope you can join in the challenges and i cant wait to see what you make. Thanks for looking!
Prize: One randomly chosen project that is linked up will win $50.00 gift credit to the w&w shop.

ReplyDeleteLovely cards!! Stenciling is something I seldom do and so my stencils are very sad and neglected. I haven't ever tried using them for dry embossing. The effect is just stunning on your monochrome card! Beautiful work. Thank you for this wonderful challenge and reminder to give my stencils some love!!

ReplyDeleteI only have a couple of stencils, and those are basic shapes but I'm starting to think that I should be brave and try to use one for an experimental card background!
