Good afternoon! Heather H. here celebrating World Card Making Day with you, and I'm super excited to be hosting a CAS (Clean and Simple) Challenge for you today! When I first started cardmaking, it was one of the hardest styles for me, and as time has gone on it has slowly become one of my favorites! Here is my CAS card for today:
For my card I started by stamping Mini Scenery: Multifaceted on a piece of white cardstock with clear embossing ink. I used my MISTI to immediately stamp the church from Our Town over the top in Versamark ink THREE times for a nice crisp impression. I then sprinkled clear embossing powder over the entire thing and heat set. Next, I used Squeezed Lemonade and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks to blend over the background. The embossed areas resist the ink which makes it super fun! I then used my paper trimmer to trim it out leaving a tiny border, stamped my sentiment from Sentimental: Winter on a white cardbase, then mounted the inked panel with foam tape over the top.
Can't wait to see your own CAS creations! Have a wonderful and happy World Card Making Day!!!
Prize: One randomly chosen project that is linked up will win $50.00 gift credit to the w&w shop.

Awesome card with a lovely background
ReplyDeleteThat is stunning, Heather!! CAS is hard for me, because I don't know when to stop on adding stuff. :) Also, CAS for one crafter is different than CAS is for another. This is confusing!! Ha.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking fwd to giving your challenge a try.
