Hi everyone, it's Taheerah! I hope you've been enjoying all the World Card Making Day festivities! Haven't all the challenges and inspiration been amazing?!

It's my turn to share a challenge with you!

To me, World Card Making Day isn't just about making cards. One of the most important meanings behind it is friendship. After all, many of us today will be crafting with friends, or creating cards that we then send out in the spirit of friendship. So that's what my challenge is all about!

My challenge is simple: create a card for a crafty friend. Post it on your blog and dedicate it to that friend! Write a little bit about who you're dedicating your card to and why. Maybe even include their blog address in your post too (if they have one) so that others can visit them and appreciate their work too!

My card was created for my dear friend Lisa Adametz. Lisa is one of my closest friends and I love her a great deal. She is funny, silly, talented and we share a sense of humour and the desire to 'keep it real'. She accepts me just as I am and I likewise. She is awesome!

So here's the card I made with Lisa in mind:

I used the Cover Model: Multifaceted Cutaway to impress my panel with that awesome pattern. I splattered on some gold mist to bring on the trends!

Next up, I die cut the True Multifaceted Heart Cutaways to die cut and impress a heart into some vellum. I dabbed it into a pink inkpad and splattered on some silver mist and adhered it to my panel, underneath some die cut pieces from Maggie Holmes. Lisa loves creating textured, multi-layered designs so I had that in mind when I created this!

I wanted a fun and funny focal point for my card, and the funny little bird from LS Exclusives: So Tweet with Evelin T Designs fit the bill perfectly! Lisa always has wacky coloured hair so I based my colouring on one of my favourite hairstyles of hers! So fun! I added the fun pink glasses as they just reminded me of her, and smeared on some Multi Matte Medium to its belly and sprinkled on some glitter. I stamped, coloured and glittered the balloon from the same set, and added it and my bird to my card with some Pinflair Glue Gel for dimension.

For some final finishing touches I die cut the friends word from The Big, the Bold and Friends Cutaways from some dark grey cardstock (twice), and adhered the pieces together. For the top word I added some Scor-Tape to the cardstock before I die cut it, then sprinkled on some gold glitter for a trendy look. I added it to my panel with some more Pinflair Glue, added a heart sticker near my bird and I was all done!

So now it's your turn! Create a card for a crafty friend. Post it on your blog and dedicate it to that friend! Write a little bit about who you're dedicating your card to and why. Maybe even include their blog address in your post too (if they have one) so that others can visit them and appreciate their work too! Link it up to the Inlinkz below. I can't wait to see all your creations - and the little love notes you leave for your friends!

I'll be back later with another challenge! See you then!

Prize: One randomly chosen project that is linked up will win $50.00 gift credit to the w&w shop.
