October Color Combo with Heather H.

Good morning! Heather here stopping by this morning to share another card using a color combo from Pinterest - this past week I realized we had a wedding to go to, so I set out to pick a soft and pretty color combo that would work well for a wedding card - here is what I came up with:

And here is the color combo I went with:

Isn't it so soft and pretty? I thought the soft white and gray with a touch of blue was perfect!

I started off with the beautiful True Multifaceted Heart Cutaways to cut a focal point with soft blue cardstock. The banner and sentiment were heat embossed in white on gray cardstock using The Big, the Bold, and the Extras. I layered everything on a panel of white cardstock cut with Essentials: Katharine Cutaways - that simple dot pattern was perfect to add just a touch of detail! Finished off by layering everything together - adhering the heart only under the banner, and tucking in a bit of silver thread before adhering the banner, mounting on a cardbase of a slightly paler shade of gray than the banner, then added a few sparkling clear sequins to finish off.

What do you think? Do you enjoy using color combos? Does this one inspire you? If you decide to use it to create something - I'd love to see what you make! Leave a link in the comments - I'd love to come visit and see what you created!

Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day!
