Spotlight On...Angel Johns!

spotlight-Angel-Johns

We are proud to bring you our next Spotlight On...Angel Johns!  She's been so enthusiastic about w&w and has shared her delightful projects with us from the moment she started inking them up! :-)  We will also be a monthly sponsor of her awesome new challenge, Sparkle and Shine Challenge, beginning in March 2015 that she and our talented friend, Laurel Beard, founded which focuses on using one of our most beloved embellishments: sequins!

We are so grateful for Angel's support and all of the love for w&w she expresses through her sensational crafting, social media and asking us to sponsor her challenge alongside one of our very favorite companies, Pretty Pink Posh!

Get ready to see Angel shine....

>>>ABOUT ANGEL<<<

Hello! I am so excited to be here and featured by Winnie & Walter.

Before I get to the projects that I have made thought I would tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Angel. I am a wife to Chris and a mom to Caleb (14) and Noah (4). All of my boys keep me on my toes every single day. We live in Cumming, Ga which is very north of Atlanta. We moved from Jacksonville, Fl about 6 years ago and enjoy the change in seasons!

I started scrapbooking back in high school and continued to do it very consistently until my oldest was about 6. I had so much to do since I was a new mom and it there was always something to scrapbook. I was introduced to card making while working at a scrapbook store in Jacksonville and haven't looked back yet. I really want to get back to scrapbooking as my boys and I love to go back and look at the older books. Documenting memories of your life are priceless.

I am so happy that I found Winnie and Walter products just a few short months ago. They have made my card making so much more fun and I am so excited to be a part of their family today!

>>>ANGEL'S PROJECTS<<<

For my projects I went with one of my favorite dies from the new release and even though it s a small one there is so much that can be done with it. For these two cards, I am showcasing the In a Word: Happy Cutaway in two totally different ways.

The first card is using water colors which is one of my favorite techniques right now.

Both of the panels were cut with the new Essentials: Katharine Cutaways that have fabulous die cuts! The top panel is water colored using my Gansai watercolors that have the most fabulous colors ever!
After I finished the water coloring, I dried it using my heat tool. I wanted to have a fun design on either side of the panel to draw your eye to the middle.

I went with the string of dots from the new Scenery: Stripes stamp set that is just awesome! I heat embossed it using white embossing powder for an extra pop. I die cut the word happy 5 times and glued them together to give extra dimension. The "so with you" stamps were pieced together by a few of the Big & Bold sets also from Winnie & Walter and also heat embossed in white.

I popped up the water color piece on foam tape for extra added dimension. It's a different type of card for me but after staring at it for a few minutes I decided that I really like it.

My next card is completely different but I love it all the same.

This is a very bright and cheery card using the Scenery: Stripes, Essentials: Katharine Cutaways and In a Word: Happy Cutaway. I love the pop of white against all of the colors going on around the card.

The sequins that I used to sprinkle around the card were specially made for Winnie & Walter from Pretty Pink Posh. The colors are scrumptious!

I hope that you have enjoyed these projects today and maybe have given you some inspiration. These products are so much fun to use and help you achieve some amazing cards. Thanks so much for stopping by.

I am so honored that Julie & Shay allowed me to be a part of their blog and shine the spotlight on me. You can visit my blog at www.mywholestampinworld.com to see more projects.
