Here is my color inspiration for this month - even though it feels a bit odd to call it a "color" inspiration...since this month we are kind of skipping the color part! My challenge this month is go all neutral - so black, white, and any shade in between of gray or brown or otherwise neutral color! This can be such a fun way to stretch and try something new - and can make a truly elegant card!
I went super soft and simple with my colors - lots of white space, a touch of gray and black, and some fun layering!
I started off using In Bloom: Paulina's Greenery Cutaways - cutting the bottom layer from vellum, and the top layer from white cardstock. I layered them together offset on my card front for some fun dimension. I then used In a Word: Thanks Cutaway and die cut it once from white cardstock, and once from gray - again layering them slightly offset for some dimension - then mounting with foam on my card. I added a tiny stamped sentiment from Sentimental: Thanks (a recent free set with one of the new releases - and should be released soon on it's own!) on a strip of white cardstock, and a bit of jute string to finish off with a bit of texture!
Now - I have a few favorites from the last Color Challenge to feature! ! So without further ado, here they are!
First up - I love this beautiful background with the challenge colors by Janis! Such a great use of the challenge colors - beautiful work!
Next up, look at this floral yumminess from Deepti! SOOO lovely - and perfect use of those colors as well!
Then we have this lovely bold take with the colors from June - I love how they are the same colors, but with a slightly softer and more vintage twist!
And finally, I love this soft and pretty take from Rahmat! The texture on that heart is amazing - make sure and check out the detail shot on her blog!
Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful and elegant combo for this month, Heather. This will be a grand challenge, since I am usually all about colors and rarely do anything in only neutrals. Your card is lovely.....very understated in the mostly white on white but with just the right amount of gray and black. A total delight. Thank you for another fun challenge!!!

This means that when consumed, it causes the user to have unusual experiences such as hearing sounds, seeing illusions, and feeling things that are not actually there.
