Hi Folks! As soon as I saw the new In a Word: Birthday Tiles Cutaways
from the latest release, I knew I wanted to use them all on the same card! But
how to fit them? I thought stringing them up like banners might work, so I went
to work cutting out a bunch of words.
It was a little difficult reading all the words
cut from different patterned papers when they were just against the white card
base, so I cut a second banner and layered it behind. Now they are easier to
read, and a little more colorful and festive. Go big, right?
They are loosely strung with hemp cord across
the top of the card. I like how they dangle and move when you handle the card.
I also dangled a curlicue piece from Goldie Trim Cutaways and a small
fiber.
The "happy" is also from the latest
release (In a Word, Happy Coordinating
Cutaways) and completes the "happy birthday" sentiment. The long
tail at the beginning of "happy" became very useful, as I was able to
attach it to the card by knotting the hemp around it.
While I was cutting each word from patterned
paper, I figured I might as well cut all the other words as long as I was
running it through the machine...
and then it was easy to make a few more cards!
This way they will be much easier to let go : )
Ahh, happy colors!
Lots of happy birthday wishes here! And once I figured out
the first card, the rest were so quick to assemble.
Sure hope you are having fun with these handy birthday words if
you happen to have them already. And if not, you can look at them here!
What a unique, colorful birthday wishes..love it..
