So on to my challenge....... 'Use Gold/Metallic'. You have probably guessed by now that I am a little partial to some gold, and with all the fabulous metallic inspiration from last month I thought it would be fun for you to show us yours.
Here's a card that may jump start your creativity.....
To start I stamped the gorgeous poinsettia and leaves in a light grey ink on to a card layer using the smaller layer from Essentials: Katherine Cutaways, and then coloured with Copic markers. Once this was done I then stamped over the images again using the same stamps but this time with VersaMark, this way I could heat emboss the lines in gold. If I had embossed first the Copics would have stained the embossing, this way gives a much more cleaner look.
I then masked off the images and added some gold splatters using some Gold Color Shine.
I didn't want my sentiment to take any attention from the stunning florals so I used a In A Word Cutaway and embossed this into my card. To do this I use a rubber mat so the die embossing instead of cuts when I run it through my die-cutting machine. When the 'peace' was embossed into my card I covered the work with a Wink Of Stella and some Glossy Accents.
Really hope you play along, we would love to see what you come up with!
