For our tenth Rerun we are concentrating on In Bloom: Addie's Garden. I must admit to having a special fondness for In Bloom: Addie's Garden.  Not only do I love the significance of the name of the set CLICK HERE to read more, but it will always remind me of Julie and what a lovely and talented person she is.

These flowers include one of my very favorites (and I am guessing many others): the hydrangea.  I wish they grew here in south central Texas, but sadly the climate is too hot for these beauties.  I will just have rely on my stamped garden of hydrangeas and the other gorgeous stamps found in In Bloom: Addie's Garden.

Now on to the cards!

Shay

I stamped the flower from In Bloom: Addie's Garden on a piece of thin paper and cut it out to create a mask.  On a piece of cardstock I stamped the flower on the top middle in Intense Black by Hero Arts. With repositionable tape I put the mask over the center flower and stamped the flower to the right and then left of the middle flower.  I also stamped the leaves twice under the center flower and then took off the mask.  I colored in the flowers with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in shaded lilac, milled lavender, dusty concord and peacock feathers on the flowers and peacock flowers and evergreen bough on the leaves using a water brush.  I cut out the flowers from the bottom of the panel and edged it in black sharpie.  I went over the flowers and leaves with clear Wink of Stella.  I attached the panel with dimensional foam adhesive to a 4x6 journaling card cut to fit an A2 card.  I cut out In a Word: Happy Cutaway (currently out of stock but will be back in stock in a few weeks) from purple cardstock and attached to the journaling card on the line on the journaling card.  I then attached the journaling card to a white A2 card.

This is a simple card and I love that you can add the rest of the sentiment inside the card to customize it for so many different occasions.  This card will have "mother's day" inside it and will be sent to my grandmother who loves purple.  Wishing all you mothers, grandmothers and mother figures out there a truly marvelous day this weekend.

That's it from me...wait until you see what Heather H., Vanessa and Keren did with In Bloom: Addie's Garden!
