We have a lovely fresh and sweet floral set to follow up on In Bloom: Frenchy's Festive Florals with Angelica Suarez and this lovely set is In Bloom: Carolina's Florals with Angelica Suarez along with its coordinating cutaways!  With several flowers, leaves, berries including a delicious multi-step strawberry and a handwritten "happy" and supporting sentiments you will add that perfect joyful note to our projects.

We have a fun new mini scenery sure to be good for any project: Mini Scenery: Spotty!  We were in desperate need of some dots and this background is just right.

Today we are also introducing additions to the In a Word series which happen to all be the same length.  We are coming out with two (2) more this release: In a Word: Birthday Cutaway + In a Word: Party Cutaway.  These dies are so fun and versatile that they will go with any style of crafting and since they are a bit chunkier than our The Big, the Bold series they would be ideal for some shaker projects too. :-)

Let's get to the fun part and see these products in action.

I made a couple of vibrant and simple cards for you today.

For the first card I went with my tried and true stamping of a background with the awesome flowers, leaves and berries from In Bloom: Carolina's Florals with Angelica Suarez with Distress Inks and on a plain piece of white cardstock.  

I really love that there are many solid and outline images to work together.  Once I stamped the design I liked I used the largest balloon from the Big Balloon Cutaways (more on this tomorrow!) and cut it out.  I also cut it out of blue cardstock.  I cut the new In a Word: Birthday Cutaway out of the balloon and then adhered the floral balloon with dimensional adhesive to the blue balloon.  I also stamped "happy" from In Bloom: Carolina's Florals with Angelica Suarez and the cut it out using In Bloom: Carolina's Florals with Angelica Suarez Cutaways and then adhered it to the balloon.  I wrapped some twine around the base of the balloon and added the cute little tie also from Big Balloon Cutaways and finished off the card by adding the balloon to an white card base.

For my second card I stamped Mini Scenery: Spotty several times in black on a piece of white cardstock.  Black polka dots are classic and I could not resist.  I adhered the polka dot layer to a white card base.  I cut In a Word: Party Cutaway 3 times- once from blue cardstock and twice from patterned paper from the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook 6x6 paper pad and layered them all together before adhering it to the card with dimensional adhesive.  I stamped the supporting sentiment from  In Bloom: Carolina's Florals with Angelica Suarez in Versamark and heat embossed in white on a strip of black cardstock.  I adhered it on top of a strip of glitter tape.  Last I added some sprinkles by Doodlebug Design Inc, and gems from Studio Calico,

June Leading Lady Crystal Thompson | Take Four

The last four weeks with Crystal have been full of amazing inspiration, excellent tips and awesome cards. Crystal is such a delight!  I feel so very blessed Crystal shared her talents with us this month!

Lucky for us all we have her final command performance today and she will be joining us next week for our June 2017 Release (be sure to join us beginning Monday, June 26th). 

 

Hello crafty friends, Crystal here with my last post as Winnie & Walter's June Leading Lady. As my last performance I have a very bright card using the fabulous new Cutaways released this Spring.

To make this card, I started with the bright green patterned paper. Next, I trimmed the solid green card stock and hand cut the end pieces to resemble a ribbon. I then added a white paper doily cut in half.  To layer on top, I die cut the white card stock using Essentials: Lana Cutaway. 

Using a matching green ink, I stamped the BE and NIQUE from Typecast: Cary Letters. The YOU is stamped in Typecast: Cary Letters and die cut with Typecast: Cary Letters Cutaways, then adhered to the white die cut with foam adhesive to give the card dimension. Once that was all glued down, I added two ribbons of hot pink paper stamped with Scenery: Stripes 2 in a darker pink, then trimmed down. To finish off, the YOU is covered in Glossy Accents and added a few matching sequins. 

This card ended up being very bright and happy. I have had a great time spending my Saturday's here on the Winnie & Walter Blog. Congrats Graduate with Kelly

Hi Folks! One of my favorite Middle Schoolers just graduated this year and I couldn't be more proud. She's had enormous challenges, yet she, helped by her very supportive family, pushes herself to succeed every single day. Her favorite color is orange, so I thought it would be great to have some orange gummy bears from Welcome to the Family with Evelin T Designs congratulating her on her graduation.

Since we have four members in our family, I created a crowd of four by stamping the darkest bear in the middle, masking him off, and then stamping the remaining bears. The bears are watercolored in different shades of orange. I liked using the "we love you" sentiment from Sentimental: Love because it further indicates that the bears represent our specific family. The rest of the sentiment is from the classic The Big, the Bold and You set.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card. If I'm not lining the entire inside of the card with patterned paper, I usually pick 3-4 scraps of paper from my drawer and layer them towards the bottom.

And here's the graduate reading her card with her mom. Love those smiles! They are the sweetest people ever!

I get more use out of this bear from Welcome to the Family with Evelin T Designs than I ever anticipated. He's not just for little kids; I've used him as the focal point for birthday, graduation, friendship, and even my Father's Day cards this year!

June Leading Lady Crystal Thompson | Take Three

Our June Leading Lady, Crystal Thompson is back for her triumphant third performance!  If you missed her smashing debut you must see it...CLICK HERE or her bright, fresh and sensational second performance CLICK HERE.   Today she brings you a graphic and modern card with stamping and die cutting!

Without further ado, Crystal....

 

Happy Saturday crafty friends! Today I am here with my 3rd project combining stamping and die cutting. 

 This card is made using two of Winnie & Walter Sets. Sketchy Thoughts Stamps and Sketchy Thoughts Cutaways along with  In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya.  First, I stamped the leaves from Lola's Bouquet  in three different shades of gray onto the white card base. (Tip: Allow drying between stamping to avoid getting your fingers inky and staining the card... as I did) 

Next, I stamped the speech bubble from Sketchy Thoughts using the middle shade of gray. Using white embossing powder, I heat embossed the sentiment from Sketchy Thoughts and once that was dried I die cut using Sketchy Thoughts Cutaways. 

Before placing my speech bubble, I added a few strips of washi tape, then with 3D foam adhesive I placed my sentiment.  Giveaway: Comment on my corresponding Winnie & Walter post on my blog for a chance to win a $30 gift certificate.
