Hello, it’s Amy and I’m thrilled to be back again guesting for the awesome Belated 2^nd Birthday Bash!  I couldn’t wait to play along in a couple more of the challenges.  Here’s a quick peek at both of my cards:

My thankful card was inspired by Heather’s Color Challenge:  Coral ● Lime ● Aqua

The In Bloom: Paulina’s Greenery Cutaways are absolutely stunning, aren’t they?  I layered aqua and gold card stock.  The sentiments are from the Happiest of Holidays with Evelin T Designs.  I stamped the friendship sentiment on the scallop strip from the Essentials:  Noelle Cutaways.  Love the scallop rectangle as my card base.  I did a smidge of watercoloring in the middle to capture lime color.

Next up is another card using the Essentials: Noelle Cutaways as the base.  This card was inspired by Heather H’s Gold + Watercoloring Challenge.

I knew that I wanted to incorporate the Mini Scenery: Madison stamp into my design.  I used my MISTI to stamp it in Versmark and follow it up with clear embossing powder.  I quickly watercolored it with my Zig Clean Color Markers.  Isn’t the In a Word: Thanks Cutaway awesome in gold glitter card stock?  The sentiment is the same one that I used in my other card, from Happiest of Holidays with Evelin T Designs.

w&w Belated 2nd Belated Birthday Bash | Special Guest Star Kathy Racoosin

Today's Special Guest Star is a woman I highly respect for her boundless talent, cheerfulness, kindness and generosity.  Kathy Racoosin is a gem of a lady and a true pleasure to know online and off.  I had the honor to spend a little time with her this past January at CHA and she is just as charming, funny and delightful in person.  Don't forget to visit her on her blog The Daily Marker for a chance to win a giveaway from us and so many more. ;-)

I think you are going to be charmed by her cards today which include some really fun sneaks of our upcoming February Release.

I was inspired by Gayatri’s challenge…I love to create stamped backgrounds so this was the perfect challenge for me. I loved this set of these adorable birds as much as Shay does.

You really don’t need a lot of markers to have an impact on a card. You could also color these cuties with “regular” markers and put a layer of vellum on top.

A set of bonus cards yes please. The Scenery: Do You See What I See? Creative Screenings stencil was added on the craft cardstock with some white ink to give the cards a subtle pop.

The bird and the hat were popped up for added dimension with some foam tape. Don’t you love how a few white dots can add that little something extra? I colored the inside of the “love” sentiment with the white get pen.

w&w Belated 2nd Birthday Bash | Special Guest Star Joni Andaya

Today's guest is special as it is the return of the gloriously talented Joni Andaya.  I was so excited Joni could join in with our Belated 2nd Birthday Bash as it just makes the celebration all the happier and just feels right as she was one of the original Talent.  As another treat Joni is sneaking something from our February 2016 Release (check back next week! wink).  Joni's card is such a lovely take on Gayatri's Create Your Own Background Challenge!

Hello Everyone Joni here sharing another inspiration that will be coming to the Winnie and Walter store soon.

To begin my project, I stamped the new upcoming Kindness with Evelin T Designs stamp set (February 2016 Release) on a watercolor paper using the versamark ink and heat embossed in white embossing powder. Then, I watercolored the images using Windsor & Newton watercolor paints. Next, I die-cut the In a Word: Friend Cutaway using a black cardstock. I also added some sequins from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards in Caribbean Dream to finish off the card.

Hello, Winnie & Walter friends! I am excited to be here again for this super fun Belated Birthday Bash celebration! For today's card I was super inspired by the Photo Inspiration challenge! I loved the photo and saw so many potential card ideas in it! I decided to begin with the pillow. I love the shimmering gold background with the black details and this Cover Model: The Leaf Effect Cutaway was the PERFECT tool to make this design happen! (This may be my new favorite die. I LOVE IT!)

I used a shimmery cardstock for the background and then layered the cutaway in black over it. I love the contrast! The sentiment is die cut with the In a Word: LOVE Cutaway from watercolor paper. I painted with watercolors before cutting it and then added some whipped spackle paste for the white texture. IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY, YOU GUYS! For reals, though.

w&w Belated 2nd Birthday Bash | From All of Us with Heather H

Good morning! Heather; here stopping by to share a card I made for Shay's "Two Challenge" as part of the Winnie and Walter Birthday Bash. I was originally going for a masculine card, but then I think I ruined it when I couldn't resist adding that scallop white layer! I love how it came out though, so it's okay with me!

I used lots of "twos" for this card. Two stamp sets, Comfort + Joy, and Mini Scenery: Multigrain (which I'm in love with - I also stamped it TWICE to create the background!) Two dies from Essentials: Noelle Cutaways - the scallop and the tag. Two stamping techniques - basic stamping (the background and sentiment) and heat embossing (the deer). Two embellishments - the jute string and a staple. And finally, two colors - the kraft and the black (not counting white as a neutral).

February Leading Lady Emily Leiphart | Take Two

Ladies and gentlemen, Emily....

Hi, everyone! It's Emily here and I'm back with my second Leading Lady post!! Every Saturday this month, I'll be sharing projects with a weekly theme. Today's theme is positive and negative die cuts. One card features the positive pieces of a die cut and the other uses the negative.

For my first card, I die cut In a Word: Love twice, placed them down on a craft sheet and smooshed distress inks on them. After they dried, I stamped words from The Big, the Bold and Friends on lower-case Ls.

On the base panel, I used my MISTI stamping tool to stamp roses from In Bloom: Elsa's Flora with Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with glitter gold embossing powder. Then I mixed grey and black distress inks with water and splattered the two corners with a brush.

My second card features the negative space created after I die cut In a Word: Hugs from a shaped panel created with Essentials: Noelle Cutaways. Before die cutting, I brushed a light wash of distress inks to create a background.

I placed acetate behind the panel and adhered all the small pieces from the die cut on the acetate using glossy accents. Then I created a shaker card by applying foam tape borders and adding three types of sequins. The silver glitter shapes were created using Big Bang Confetti Cutaways.

Here are the two cards shown side-by-side to show how die cuts can be used in two very different ways. The first card has its depth in the popped up positive die cuts, whereas the second card has its depth behind the main panel in the form of a shaker.

Our next Special Guest Star, Jennifer Ingle, aka Jingle, is such an awesome crafter and friend to us...and well everyone!  We love her vivaciousness, humor, friendliness, flair and charm.  She has a darling lab pup named Morgan and you know we have a weakness for fur babies.  It also happens to be her birthday today which couldn't be more perfect as we are obviously celebrating our birthday too.  Jennifer, we wish you a birthday as brilliant and beautiful as you are!

Hello, Winnie & Walter fans! WOW! The excitement of this celebration is just amazing!!! This is Jennifer Ingle of Just Jingle here with you today. I am loving these fabulous challenges! I am thrilled to be here on the blog today sharing a card I created that was inspired by Heather's fabulous Watercolor and Gold challenge! I absolutely love this combination!

I pulled out a couple of my absolute favorite Winnie & Walter stamp sets to create my card. I decided to keep a very minimalist look for the watercolor. I stamped my flowers in bold so they stand out nicely, and then added just a dash of color to each one with Sakura Koi watercolors. The sentiment is stamped and embossed in gold and really shines with this simple design behind it! The panel is mounted on plaid Bazzill cardstock to finish the look.
