Hi there, W&W friends! It's Lea with a card for our collaboration with Brutus Monroe! When I was picking the items that I wanted to use, I knew that I wanted to build on what Winnie & Walter already does best....stamps & dies!

So I grabbed some Brutus Monroe items that would compliment this, including their amazing 130 lb. cardstock, Detail Ink in Raven, Gilded embossing powder, and their watercolor paper.

To start, I stamped the beautiful cacti image from the Winnie & Walter "Kindness" stamp set to a block of their watercolor paper. I did use my MISTI for this as it took two tries to get a good impression, which is perfectly normal on watercolor paper. Then I used some Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolor and the "smooshing" technique to create my background. I love this technique because you get such random results each time, but it normally always works out!

I did let it air dry naturally before splattering it with gold paint splatters. Then I mounted it to a top folding A2 card that I created from the Brutus Monroe Not Your Mama's 130 lb. cardstock. This cardstock is super thick & luxurious, and bright white - I highly recommend it!

Then I proceeded to create my sentiment. I stamped & heat embossed the word Kindness in gold to a block of vellum, then diecut it with it's coordinating die. I mounted the word to my card front with foam strips, then proceeded to stamp the rest of the sentiment directly to the front. I did this by taking the foam out of my MISTI, and putting the entire card in it. Works perfectly, especially when you forget to finish stamping the full sentiment before putting the card together. ;)
