Without further ado, Nicole....

Hello! One of my good friends is expecting a baby boy in the summer so I wanted to create a card for an upcoming baby shower for her. (And, an excuse to use blue colors is always welcome!)

So today, we are going to create a super quick card with The Big, the Bold and Baby Stamp Set and the In a Word: Baby Cutaway from Winnie & Walter.

There is one thing I always share with my fellow crafters whenever I create a card using watercolors - if you are new to watercoloring and not yet ready to invest in other watercolor mediums, use other supplies you are likely to already have on hand - like those Distress inks!

I really wanted the "baby" word to pop out, so I decided to create the card with blue and white color combo. So for the background, I created a light to medium watercolor wash for the background and cut the "baby" word with a white cardstock using the In A Word: Baby Cutaway. Don't you love how it is popped out from the background? Airy yet bold and clean!

To accompany the main word "baby," I added "welcome" and "boy" from The Big, the Bold and Baby Stamp Set using a black inkpad. Want to use this for another occasion? Simply change the color of the background or the focal point sentiments, and you have a completely different card! Take out your inks and have fun with them!
