I’m beyond delighted to be back on stage today with Winnie & Walter, sharing some more ideas for playing with their amazing and awesome stamps and Cutaways! Thanks so much for your lovely warm welcome on my debut performance last week … it was such a delight to read your views on those rainbow cards! They were vibrant, bold and graphic … so for a complete change this week, I’ve gone all pastel, pretty and floral (yes, really … me!).
First up, a delicate pink and grey confection …
I masked the base card and randomly stamped it with one of the multi step blooms (there are four lovely layers on each flower here) and some leaf clusters from In Bloom:Lola’s Bouquet, and added a touch of sparkle with Diamond Stickles in the centres. Panels of grey card were cut to fit each side of the stamping, I white heat embossed the ‘lovely’ (from The Big, The Bold and Friends) onto one and popped them both up on foam tape onto the base, so that the blooms are recessed. The ‘friend’ die cut (from The Big, The Bold and Friends Cutaways) was adhered flat to the grey, spanning the stamping, with tiny slices of foam tape supporting the ‘floating’ letters. A scattering of shimmery silver sequins and gems complement the soft, sparkly flowers!
Next, lots of layers and dimension … yet still deliciously clean and crisp …
Here, the gorgeous peony and leaves from In Bloom: Addie’s Garden take centre stage … heat embossed in white, coloured with Promarkers and trimmed out. They were arranged on a vellum panel, with the elements at the back adhered flat, and those at the front popped up with different depths of foam tape. The sentiment is made up of words from the True set and was white heat embossed. I cut a white panel with the larger of the two frame dies from Essentials: Audrey Cutaways … it comes with scalloped as well as pierced edges … but the scallops were sliced off for this card as I wanted straight lines to complement the soft curves of the flowers. The vellum was adhered to the white panel with adhesive used just behind the blooms, and the panel was popped up on foam tape on the card base. There’s early morning shimmer on these peonies … thanks to a couple of coats of Wink of Stella and some tiny dew drops … you should be able to see it better here …
This final card is my favourite of the week … probably something to do with all that glorious white space …
This is the rose (and leaves) from In Bloom: Maggie’s Roses Cutaways … isn’t it such a beautiful die? I cut the outlines twice … in white and in smooshed-with-Distress-Inks card, and cut a solid rose in white to act as a base. I adhered the outline rose to the solid one, slotted the coloured sections into place and popped the finished flower up on foam tape onto a white card panel. The leaves were arranged and adhered flat around it, I heat embossed the sentiment from My Precious in liquid platinum and popped the panel up on the card base. Wink of Stella adds some gentle shimmer … and just look at how that liquid platinum shines …
How about boxed or twine tied sets of these in a range of colours and with various sentiments … I’m thinking that might make a rather nice gift!
It’s been so lovely playing with these gorgeous, feminine florals this week … I do hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what I’ve come up with! Julie and Shay have generously given me a $30 gift card to Winnie & Walter to give away this month … if you’d like to be in with a chance of winning it (just think of the In Bloom goodies you could get!), leave a comment on each of my Leading Lady posts over on my blog (My Papercraft World) every week … five posts during May, five chances to win! I’ll do a random draw from all the comments and will announce the winner on Sunday 7 June!
Huge thanks to Julie and Shay for having me to play here again this week … I’ll be back next Saturday with another performance … hope you’ll join me! Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy! Anita :)

ReplyDeleteGASP...Anita, the magic you worked with rainbow colours last week is repeated with the pastel colours and flowers for this. Each card: perfection! Love the floral panel of the first, the shimmery yellow of the second and the solo performance of the third. My belief that you are an outstanding Leading Lady stands...even more firmly! These are nothing short of stellar!
