Gifts of Giving | Merry Christmas with Heather

Hi, everyone! Heather P. here to share my 'Gift of Giving' project with you... I have really enjoyed seeing what the other ladies on the design team have been creating, such fabulous projects!

There are so many different ways to interpret this month's theme, and as the ideas were flying around, I kept coming back to this project.  I have friends who usually commission me to create their annual Christmas cards, and I really enjoy creating for them! It can be a bit tedious to replicate the design a billion times, but when you see their faces when they're opening up the box for the reveal, it just can't be beat! I love that!

To create this card, I started with a light gray card base, and used the Scenery: Big Bang Circle Creative Screenings to cover the back of the card with embossing paste.  While that was drying, I stamped the wreath, leaf sprig and bow images from Happy Christmas in Stazon ink, then watercolored them.  While they were drying, I stamped the cardinal image from Winter Woodland in red ink, then fussy cut it out.

Next, I die cut the main portion of the sentiment using the Big, the Bold and the Merry Cutaways from silver glitter card stock.  I adhered a strip of white card stock to the card base, then stamped the remainder of the sentiment from the Big, the Bold and the Merry in versamark onto mint card stock before heat embossing in white.  I adhered the strip of mint card stock to the card base, then adhered the silver die cut.  To finish up, I adhered the wreath, bow and bird images to the card base, covered the berries and bow with stickles, and embellished with teal enamel dots.

Well, that wraps it up for me today, please be sure to come back tomorrow for more Winnie & Walter inspiration.

Have a great one!
Heather P.
