Hi there! I'm really happy to be joining you today with a...don't run away yet...Christmas card from a non-Christmas set! I really love the Mini Scenery: Do You See What I See
To start off , colour and cut out the cubes using green markers. Arrange them into a triangular tree shape. Cut out a rectangle and colour it brown.
Tie 5 pieces of green thread together. Press a transfer sheet onto the arrangement and flip it over. Place the threads over the backs of the cubes in an evenly spaced way. Keep the threads taut by pressing them onto the transfer sheet.
Now secure all the threads by putting foam pads over the top. Try and secure as many thread points using the pads.
Now peel all the backs of the foam pads off, flip it over and press onto your card blank. Carefully peel back the sheet and then add the details.
I stamped the star from Comfort & Joy and then added some sequins and stars from the Winnie's Sparkly Shaker Selection
I also added some sparkle using a Wink of Stella brush marker but that never seems to show properly in photos. I tried adding in a sentiment but it somehow didn't look quite right. I'm not sure it needs it though, it's obvious it's to do with Christmas!
I hope this has given you a little inspiration in using a set differently. You could of course create it as a normal tree and add some little flowers from Winnie & Walter floral sets. Thanks for joining me and hope to see you soonKeren xx
