Hey folks,
To be honest, I started out making a
one layered card in mind. But as I started to mask and sponge and stamp, I
decided I wanted some snow. So that is how I decided to turn the one layered
card to a shaker cardJ
I freehand cut the snow mound using
masking paper, adhere it on the card front and sponged Mustard seed distress
ink in the middle then Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord distress
ink on the edges. This gives the northern light illusion on the background. I
then stamped the birch trees and the tree from Winter Woodland stamp set using
black ink. I then adjusted the masking paper to a different level, sponged some
Tumbled Glass distress ink to get snow mound then stamped the tree again and
the reindeer. For the snow, I spattered some white opaque Mr. Huey. I loved it
as it is but then a bit of moving snow will be awesome. So I die cut a white
frame using rectangle dies, added the acetate sheet then the foam adhesives to
make the shaker card. For the fillings, I added Rock Candy distress glitter and
some Aquamarine and Sparkly Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. The white
distress glitter looks like real snow.
For the sentiment I die cut “holidays”
from The Big, the Bold and Merry Cutaways from gold glitter cardstock and three
from white cardstock. I stacked and glued them together with the gold glitter
die cut on the top. Adhere this on the card front. The Happy is from The Big,the Bold and Merry stamp set, stamped on a strip of white cardstock, trimmed
and adhered using foam adhesives.
Hope you are inspired by my Winter Wonderland
shaker card. Thanks for visiting today.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Hugs!
