Happy Weekend, my friends! =) It's time for my last post as Leading Lady for Winnie & Walter. Thanks so much for having me! I had so much fun playing with your awesome stamps and dies! Here is my card for this week's post.
I knew I had to color these cuties when I first saw them! =)
All the images are from the Winter Wishes with Evelin T Designs set. They are stamped on Essentials: Josephine Cutaways cutouts and colored with Copic markers.
The background is created with the Scenery: Ticking Stripe Creative Screenings and modeling paste. I love the tone-on-tone textured look. If you have any of the Creative Screenings and modeling paste on hand, give this a try! It's so fun! The sentiment is included in the Winter Wishes with Evelin T Designs set.
Thanks once again for having me and if you stop by my blog you can find out how to win a $30 gift certificate to use in the Winner & Walter online shop! =)

Hello lovelies! I am back today with an incredibly simple card using In a Word: Thanks (the stamp set). Sometimes you need a card quickly and honestly so do I at times and this stamp set is great for helping that happen.
I began by stamping the handwritten "thanks" in Versamark and embossing it with black embossing powder. I then used Scenery: Rugby Stripe Creative Screenings with blue ink and an ink blending tool to create ombre stripes. I then flicked some watered down ink with a brush. I stamped the supporting sentiment in dark grey. Last I attached the panel to a matching blue A2 card base.
You can change up the colors as needed and make it into a single layer card for easy sending.

Hello lovelies! I thought In a Word: Thanks (the stamp set) would be a perfect stamp set for as our gift for our Black Friday - Cyber Monday Sale as it expresses my thanks for another wonderful year!
I have a couple cards for you today using In a Word: Thanks (the stamp set) in which I work with the outline and bold thanks that are the stamp counterpoints of In a Word: Thanks Cutaway. So one great thing is you can use In a Word: Thanks Cutaway to cut out a mask to use with this new set.
For my first card I inked up the solid thanks with green and blue inks. I stamped it onto a piece of white cardstock. I masked the thanks using the In a Word: Thanks Cutaway and stamped the foliage in grey, the berry in a pale green and leaf in an aqua. I removed the mask and stamped the supporting sentiment "for your kindness" in dark grey ink. To make the "thanks" pop a bit more I added some shadowing with colored pencils. I attached the panel to an A2 card base. Last I added some gems.
For my second card I stamped the outline thanks in black ink. I masked it off. I stamped the largest flower from In Bloom: Victoria's Very Merry Flowers with Lydia Evans and used the layers in shades of coral, peach and pink and stamped some of the centers. I also stamped the leaf and the detail in shades of yellow green and lime green inks. I removed the mask. I stamped the supporting sentiment in black ink. I added the panel to an A2 card base. Last, I added the black gems.
Two really simple one layer cards other than some gems. That's it from me today.

It's Your Day with Lydia
Hello there and happy Monday!
Boy do I have a bright and cheery card to share with you today. I must admit its not my usual flowery style but I was in a rainbow mood...
I started with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of white cardstock that I die cut using Winnie & Walter: In a Word: Birthday Tiles Cutaways. I cut them all once at the top and then all again at the bottom.... they just fit perfectly!
I then did some ink blending on my card base using CP inks in Rockin' Red, Orange Twist, Tiara, Lime Rickey, Aquatini, Flirty Fuchsia and Party Dress. I then added the die cut layer over to the card base.
I then felt it just needed a little something more so I white heat embossed a little added sentiment on to black cardstock using Sentimental: Birthday.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope my rainbow card made you smile a little.
Hugs, Lydia x

November Leading Lady Alice Wertz | Take Three
Our our November Leading Lady Alice Wertz is back for her triumphant third performance! If you missed her smashing debut you must see it...CLICK HERE or her sensational second performance with a lovely colorful impact CLICK HERE. Today's card is incredibly dynamic and so worth the effort!
Without further ado, Alice....
Hello, all! =) Here is my card for this week's Leading Lady post.
This week I decided to play with the Cover Model: Do You See What I See? Cutaway. I used cardstock in Winnie & Walter colors and used the negatives of the die cut for a colorful background. Once again, I used a cutout of the frame as my guide when I glue those little shapes with foam tape.
For a colorful background like this, a dark sentiment would stand out best, so I used one of the happy words from the In a Word: Happy Coordinating Cutaways and shimmery cardstock for the first part of the sentiment. Since stamping on the background would be challenging, I used my Dymo label maker to create the second half of the sentiment.
Again, this one took some time to make, but I found it therapeutic doing it while watching or listening to my favorite TV or podcasts. Hope you likey! =)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
hugs,
alice

Merry + Bright with Kelly
Hello Folks! Kelly here from Notable Nest with a
special card to share with you. You may notice there is a pull tab on the side.
Any guesses what it does? I'll give you a hint ... it will become bright.
Literally. "Bright" will be bright. Hahaha! Let's take a look ...
This card uses the new In a
Word: Holiday Tiles Cutaways from the November release. To make the cute
scallop panel I want to make sure the sentiment die is perfectly in the center
of the opening when I send it through the die cutter. That calls for some old
washi tape to temporarily hold the two dies in place.
Once I have the frame and inset cut, I backed the
"bright" letter openings with red vellum. The vellum will help
diffuse the light shining from below. The scallop panel is mounted onto a
larger panel, and then the card base itself.
Want to see what's underneath the scallop panel?
Circuitry! The three lights will go on once you pull the tab out.
Underneath the tab is a switch made from copper tape. When the copper tape
underneath is lined up over the gap, the circuit will be completed and the
lights will turn on. I have also added foam tape to allow room for the height
of the battery. If you are interested in how this works, I have a more detailed tutorial on
the Chibitronics blog (featuring another Winnie & Walter card) that you can
check out.
Here is the card before you pull on the tab,
And here's what it looks like once the tab is pulled! It's BRIGHT!
You can't guess how many times I moved the tab back and forth watching the lights
go on. It's just too much fun!
In hindsight I should have placed the light stickers a little
higher up so the light is more hidden under the cardstock, and diffused across
the vellum. That would avoid the three intense spots of light. But it's still a
great effect, and definitely something to make your cards stand out for someone
special.
I enjoy how simple the general design of the card is with the
white-on-white elements and clean font, and then the bright red and lights are
allowed to really stand out. The nice thing about the In a
Word: Holiday Tiles Cutaways is that there are 6 different words and the
scallop panel included in the set. So you have a lot of options. This Merry +
Bright sentiment, however, is just perfect for this use.
Thanks so much for looking! Have a wonderful, and bright, day : )

November Color Combo with Heather H. (Challenge)
Good morning! Heather here stopping by this morning to share a new Color Combo Challenge with you! Thanks again to everyone who has played along so far - make sure and look for winners and a few featured players at the bottom of this post!
New challenge will post on the second Monday of each Month, and will end on the Friday before the next challenge begins to allow time to pick a winner and some favorite entries to feature.
Now it's your turn to play along!
And here is my color inspiration for this month - I loved the calming blues, and the fact that the inspiration even had a cozy mug in it:
I started off by stamping the cut in a soft blue ink, then used some soft grays to stamp in the "warm" and "wishes" words, and a chocolaty color to stamp the color in the cup. I added a little sentiment underneath from the new Tagged: Holiday Cheer stamp set, and the smallest heart from the Warm Wishes to You stamp set in blue to pull it all together.
I trimmed that panel down to fit over a blue scallop rectangle cut with the largest die from Essentials: Audrey Cutaways and did some machine stitching to adhere them together (it ended up a bit uneven thanks to my bobbin jamming...so excuse the messy part in the bottom right corner!). Finished off by layering on an even darker blue pattern paper, and adding a few snowflake sequins and (hard to see in the photos) some sparkly Nuvo drops.
Now - I have a few favorites from the last Color Challenge to feature! We had fewer players this month - but you all knocked it out of the park!
First up - this soft and dreamy beauty from Rosali - that shimmer and shine and gorgeous layering - wow!
Next - this gorgeous layered floral card from Deepti! I love how happy this card is - just like the focal sentiment!
And finally, I love the vintage feel to this card by Maryam! The background is gorgeous - and the florals are perfect!
>>>RANDOMLY CHOSEN WINNERS<<<
No. 3 | Maryam
Maryam's card has a beautiful background of depth and softness with allows her beautifully colored flowers to take center stage.
And since we had so many gorgeous, colorful entries (and because I just feel like it and one the perks of being the boss at w&w is I can do these things on a whim!) I randomly chose one of the Heather's favorite cards featured above to also win as well!
And since we had so many gorgeous, colorful entries (and because I just feel like it and one the perks of being the boss at w&w is I can do these things on a whim!) I randomly chose one of the Heather's favorite cards featured above to also win as well!
No. 5 | Rosali
A clean simple card, Rosali still has plenty of impact and interest with all those gloriously shimmery textured leaves.
