Hello everyone and happy Friday! Where, oh where are these days going???? This year seems to be flying by! Today I have something quite different for me... a boy's birthday card!

 

I started by stamping some of the borders from Scenery: Stripes 2. I stamped a few different borders in yellows, greys and blues, I do like this colour combos for boys cards.... and they don't seem to complain ;) I also added some extra chevron elements using Scenery: V for Chevron and stars using Scenery: Big Bang Confetti.

 

To finish I used Sketchy Thoughts stamps and dies to create a speech bubble sentiment. I just love how cool and edgy this looks! Prefect for a 'guys' card!

Happy Birthday with Vanessa

Hello everyone! Vanessa here with a colorful card using the fun Typecast: Cary Numbers Cutaways. 

These dies are so versatile and I love to think of various ways to use them. This is what I came up with today:

I started with a panel of white cardstock that I had trimmed the same size as my card base. Now I masked off a diagonal strip with washi tape and applied various Distress Inks with an ink blending tool. Then I flicked water from a brush, removed the mask and stamped tiny stars from Sceneries: Big Bang Confetti with matching ink. Next, I die-cut the numbers from the panel and adhered the panel to the card. I die-cut the numbers twice form white cardstock, layered them with the inked numbers and adhered them. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment from Sugar Rush onto a strip of black cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it with foam tape. Finally, I adhered matching sequins to the card.

I hope you like today's idea! It was so much fun to create this :)

Hi there everyone. Hope you are having a great day! Today I sharing a super fun card that I made with a plethora of Winnie & Walter stamps and dies.

 

I started by stamping the background using the larger of the small circles from Scenery: Big Bang Confetti - I just love how you can really play with shapes to create things that you don't see first try. For the mouse head embellishment I die cut three circles using Big Bang Confetti Cutaways from black card- I stuck the two smaller circles into place. Added some Wink of Stella over it and covered with glossy accents and then left to dry.

 

I just love how the die cut star (using True Multifaceted Star Cutaways) frames the mouse head and the sentiment. For the sentiment I used the speech bubble and words from Bubble Talk.

February Leading Lady Emily Leiphart | Take Three

Hello, hello! It's Emily here and I'm back with my third Leading Lady post!! Every Saturday this month, I'll be sharing projects with a weekly theme. Today's theme is monochromatic versus colourful. Both cards use the exact same products!

The monochromatic card features five Winnie & Walter dies and one stamp set in shades of white, greys and black. Across the middle of the Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die cut, I dry embossed with the Lulu Fringe Cutaway.

The In a Word: Hello die was sponged with three distress inks, splattered with water and misted with shine spray, then stamped with the dots from the Scenery: Big Bang Confetti stamp set. The In Bloom: Paulina's Greenery Cutaways wreath was layered with vellum and linen white cardstock.

This colourful version features the same six products as the monochromatic version, just in different formulations. Here, the Lulu Fringe Cutaway is used in its originally intended format on the edges of the Essentials: Katharine Cutaways frames.

In Bloom: Paulina's Greenery Cutaways was dry embossed as well as used as accents on the ends of the sentiment that uses In a Word: Hello Cutaway, as well as The Big, the Bold and the Happy Cutaways. The dots from Scenery: Big Bang Confetti were heat embossed with silver glitter embossing powder.

Party/Celebration | Cheers with Gayatri

Hello everybody! Welcome! This is Gayatri here today with you party card using couple of techniques.

 

I created a bokeh background using inks and Scenery: Big Bang Confetti stamp set. I started with sponging Seedless Preserve and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks on white cardstock. I sponged layers and layers of colours until I was satisfied with the blend of colours. Then I used the solid and outline circles from Scenery: Big Bang Confetti stamp set to stamp layers of clusters of white bokeh using white pigment ink. The bokehs are subtle and beautiful. I also did spatter some clean water to add random texture. I then diecut a rectangle panel using the largest rectangle die from Essentials: Katharine Cutaways. Love the dot details on the edges of the panel.

The focal sentiment is die cut from the main panel using In a Word: Cheers Cutaway. I also die cut the sentiment from black cardstock. I inlaid the black die cut into the main panel and all the bits and pieces in place by adding adhesive sheet at the back of the panel. This panel is adhered on a white card base using craft foam for dimension. To add to the cheer, I added some confetti from The Party Confetti Cutaways die cut using white glitter cardstock. Finally embellished with sequins from Little Things by Lucy Abrams - Kaleidoscope and Star Shine collection.

I love creating backgrounds on my card to make them unique and also to get more out of your products. Hope you like my card.

August Leading Lady Melania Deasy | Take One

We are thrilled to bring you our August Leading Lady, Melania Deasy!  Whether you know her as Melania or simply as Deasy, our August Leading Lady is an amazing papercrafter and we have been fans of her work for years.   

A a wife and mother living in Indonesia, she is also on the design teams of some of the hottest stamping companies around and consistently creates gorgeous, inspiring work.  Not only is she wonderful at creating projects, she's also a very talented illustrator too. Melania Deasy is a versatile stamper and incredible colorist (using it for someone with coloring skills! lol) able to create incredibly sophisticated projects incorporating artistic techniques and also making breathtakingly sweet and adorable projects with equal aplomb as evidenced by being named the 2013 Gallery Idol!

Hi everyone!! I'm so excited today because I will be Winnie & Walter Leading Lady for August!

I LOVE Winnie & Walter products, I'm sure I will have fun playing this month! The latest big April/ May release is so amazing...there are many ideas that pop up in my mind.

Today I want to share with you about Watercolor Background. I love using watercolor not only for coloring but also for making the background.

Here is my first card :

First, I make the sentiment using white embossing powder and I add watercolor as a background. To make the background, first I add water with my brush on watercolor paper and I add black, blue and red watercolor. There's purple in it because if blue and red mixed, it will be purple.  To make it more dramatic, when the paper still wet, you can splash watercolor in it with brush. It will be mixed and beautiful! I also splash some watercolor after the paper already get dry.

The big stars are using silver embossing powder, I also add Wink of Stella clear glitters on it. The tiny stars are from dark blue ink.

My second card is festive and fun!

Essentials: Audrey Cutaways for the frame die cut

First, I'm using white embossing powder on card stock paper, then color it with COPIC and cut it with my scissor. The sentiment is from gold embossing powder. I cut the inner part of the die cut from Audrey Cutaways to make it like a frame.

To make the background watercolor, I'm using the same way like the first card with turquoise, yellow and pink colors but this time I splash white watercolor with my brush on it. For the final touch, I add sequins and twine.
