A Week to Die For | Essentials: Katharine Cutaways + In a Word Cutaways

Today we will be focusing upon Essentials: Katharine Cutaways (we expect to be able to restock this some time this week) + In a Word: Cheers Cutaway + In a Word: Happy Cutaway + In a Word: Love Cutaway.

Time to see the inspiration!

Surprise, surprise I have another birthday card to share with you today and it is on the guyish side. :-)

I used the In a Word: Happy Cutaway and Essentials: Katharine Cutaways in this card.  I cut out the happy numerous times from papers from American Crafts' Shoreline 6x6 paper pad + Studio Calico's Lemon Lush and Here + There 6x6 paper pads + Glitz Designs' Finnley 6x6 paper pad.  On some I colored a little in with Copics.  On a piece of polka dot paper I cut out the the happy and then nested another happy in the negative section (I kept them together with washi on the backside).

I created a frame using the two rectangle layers from Essentials: Katharine Cutaways that I then colored in with Tim Holtz Distress Inks by Ranger in mustard seed and spiced marmalade.  I nested a smaller rectangle of pattern paper cut out with the smaller rectangle and added those layers to a white card base.  On top of the layers I added the happy die cuts.  I cut out the larger tag from Essentials: Katharine Cutaways and using dimensional foam adhesive I adhered the polka dot happy strip.  I cut the strip to the shape of the tag.  I cut out the smaller banner from Essentials: Katharine Cutaways out of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment from Sugar Rush in cup o'joe Hero Arts Mid-Tone Shadow Ink.  Last, I added the tag to the card.
