I absolutely love Jennifer! There are so many things to learn from her, it's hard to pinpoint just one. You can learn something every time you visit her blog!
ReplyDeletethank you! xo
DeleteThe first things I learned about from Jennifer were how to use distress inks and perfect pearls. I think these are now staples for any card maker.
ReplyDeletefunny... i have a video going up very soon with these two products! xo
DeleteI watch every one of Jennifer's videos, and never fail to pick up a new technique or idea! She's amazing!
ReplyDeletethank you tons! hearing this makes all the work worth it. xo
DeleteWell I could write a book on Jennifer's fabulousness! She was my favorite part of any issue of CK magazine, she's a genius when it comes to finding the creative versatility of a product. I am convinced that if anyone could make a silk purse out of a sow's ear it would indeed be Jennifer (and it would be one highly colored and embellished purse at that!!) and she will put out an fantastic video and teach everyone else how to easily turn their sow's ears into purses also! LOL
ReplyDeleteBut I will share with you one thing I am convinced of...that Jennifer can spot the great versatile products right off the bat and as I have always said your stamps are UBER versatile and provide an endless supply of creative inspiration!! I mean you were so innovative by mixing script and type fonts and creating a ton of fabulous words that when strung together give you fabulous one of a kind sentiments that speak volumes!
Another thing about Jennifer is that she along with Kristina Werner have the BEST online classes!! ( http://onlinecardclasses.com/ for any newbies out there!) they literally teach it all...beginner to advanced and in such a way the beginner gets it with their ease of breaking it down and the advanced crafter will also not only get the foundation but will also pick up tips and tricks making the process easier for them, the advanced techniques are taught so that the beginner can pick them up simply by following the step by step video or PDFs! I have taken several classes from several sources and I have NEVER EVER regretted any class purchase from them!! (and believe me, you can't say that about every online class...but they are CONSISTENTLY awesome classes!!)
I'm going to stop there...because I really COULD go on and on. :D
I am SO right there with ya, Scrapthat. Can't wait for the August onlinecardclass. And believe me, I'd watch that video and try to make that darn purse.
Deletewow - you are awesome. can i call you each morning for a pep talk? lol! thank you tremendously for these words. hugs.
Delete:D I'm only talking the truth...but feel free Jennifer! :D
Deletekepsss....I'd give it a whirl too and I KNOW it would work out, and I'd be stylin'! LOL
I can't wait for class to start either!! I'll see you there! :D
You said that so perfectly Scrapchat that I will add one more thing only Jennifer is the Guru of Organization (makes me so happy to be organized) and she always has one more tweak to perfect a solution. Love her creativity, the way she is able to be so clear about her process. Well I guess I could go on too! Thanks Jennifer.
DeleteI agree with everything Snapchat said. Jennifer is very creative and I love and learn so much from all of her videos and classes. I agree, they are the best and reasonable online classes offered!
DeleteI've learned so much from Jennifer from techniques, products, to organizational tips. The list is endless. I also appreciate the fact that she often says that she does this for a living so that we don't necessarily need exactly what she has and offers less expensive alternatives.
ReplyDeletethanks for noticing this. i appreciate it! xo
DeleteI love Jennifer's videos! I am working on watercoloring onto kraft card stock...love the results! Thanks Jennifer for all that you share!
ReplyDeleteyay! enjoy.
DeleteI've learned so much from Jennifer on how to use my dies in creative ways!
ReplyDeletei love dies! thank you.
DeleteI have learned almost all of the techniques I currently use from Jennifer's blog and videos! Her classes are amazing and she is simply Amazing!
ReplyDeletethank you so much. :)
DeleteYes!!!
ReplyDeleteand you know i am your biggest fan. :)
DeleteI have learned a ton from Jennifer and LOVE her. I have learned so much about using my dies in creative ways.
ReplyDeleteso glad! xo
DeleteI have started organizing my stamps as Jennifer has, in Avery Elle folders and in the Fridge Bin. So wonderful to have my stamps right at my fingertips! Thank you Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteYES! Fridgebins! They fit fabulously into IKEA Expedit! Thanks for that, Jennifer!!!
DeleteI also adore Jennifer and she has been one of my all time favorite designers. I take EVERY one of her Online Card Classes and have followed her and her work, pretty much, since I started crafting. She's such a joy and a wonderful caring Mom! Love her!! So harpy you have written such a touching post...no doubt she will be very honored! THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteyou know i adore you - my biggest cheerleader. :) xo
DeleteOh my gosh, Jennifer is BRILLIANT. I've learned so many techniques from her thru her blog and youtube videos and from the online card classes. I admit I'm a Jennifer McGuire stalker and I'm SO GLAD I get to stalk her via W&W, whom I also love love love (actually I'm pretty sure I found you THRU Jennifer). Can't wait to see the new and wonderful stuff she comes up with this week! YAY, Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteha! thank you tons for your sweet words.
DeleteThe paper crafting industry will not be the same without Jennifer McGuire. Period. I am one of the many thousands that benefit from her teaching and sharing! And...oh ,she has the biggest heart, too! We love you, JM!
ReplyDeletelove you too!
DeleteI started following Jennifer from her 2Peas Thinking Inking series, which I hope she retained ownership of, since they are very soon no longer. I cannot think if any video she has done or anything from OCC that I have not learned something new.
ReplyDeletei am considering redoing them... updating them :)
DeleteThat's a great idea. Loved Thinking Inking!
DeleteOh yeah, thats when I first came across her too - I'd forgotten about that!
DeleteI love Jennifer and the wealth of information she shares with her readers! I always learn so much from watching her videos!
ReplyDeletethank you!
DeleteI love Jennifer's work! What haven't I learned from Jennifer? Every one of her videos is always full of great tips.
ReplyDeletexoxo!
Deletea big thank you to you girls for the awesome post! boy... what a spirit-lifter you are. so honored and thankful. big hugs. love you!
ReplyDeleteLove you too, Jennifer! *hugs*
DeleteJennifer is a beautiful soul and has been an absolute inspiration to myself and following her techniques and suggestions has certainly lifted my technique library and ideas for project beyond what I thought I was capable of. Keep up the great work! And thanks for showing me that simple is often the best way to go...Denise
ReplyDeletethis means a lot to me. thank you
DeleteI credit Jennifer with inspiring me to start making cards again. I used to love it but had gotten away from it for a long time. I have learned so much from her videos and so look forward to new ones!
ReplyDeleteso glad you are creating again! xo
DeleteI started out as a scrapbooker, so when I happened to find Jennifer's blog, I felt like I had found the golden ticket! She has taught me so much about distress inks (seriously, my new favorite thing!), stencils, embossing paste and more. I can only hope to one day be as creative as she is!
ReplyDeletei miss scrapbooking. need to start again. hugs!
DeleteI am sure, that I am not alone when it comes to looking at some stamp sets and thinking "what would I do with that? How often would I actually use these?" Jennifer always has the answer to these questions and many more. I learn sooooooooooo much from her blog and videos that I seem to ask those questions less often. She can always take an unimpressive set of stamps and turn them into something everyone wants. I was lucky enough to join a friend of mine at CHA several years ago and had the pleasure of taking a Hero Arts class with her. I can tell you that she is as genuine as they come and so incredibly talented, as we all know!
ReplyDeletethank you! big hugs to you.
DeleteJennifer! There are so many things I love about her! Her techniques alone are just pure awesome! And her organizing skills have inspired me soooo much and helped me be a lot more productive in my craft time!! Last, but certainly not least by any means that I adore her for is her priorities, she lets us know that foremost she is a wife & mother and then a crafter. As a wife & mother of 4 kiddos, I just admire that she is real about that and her life! Thanks & kudos to you Jennifer!
ReplyDeletefinding a balance is so tough but i try my best. i know it is that way for all of us! thank you for saying that. hugs to you!
DeleteGoodness, I've learned so much from Jennifer! When I got back into paper crafting last year, one of the first things I did was take the Online Summer Card Class and watch a whole bunch of her tutorials. I've learned about new styles and different techniques. I've also invested in some storage and organizing products that Jennifer has featured on her blog. Being organized has completely changed the way I do my projects! No kidding! And, besides her obvious skill, talent, and well-deserved respect in the industry, her generosity of spirit and love for life is truly inspiring.
ReplyDeletei may have to copy and paste these words somewhere where i can read them often. :) they made me smile! thanks!
DeleteI am another crafter that has learned a lot from Jennifer and stalks YouTube waiting for her next video. I have been challenged and encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and try new techniques (inlaid die cuts, distress inking techniques, and water coloring to name a few). I've also been in awe of how she make CAS cards look so amazing. I recently purchased some stencils so that I could try some of the stencil techniques she uses. Who knows, maybe I'll get brave enough to give embossing paste a try too. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Stephanie. DO IT. Embossing paste is amazing. And Jennifer is the one who prompted me. It's SO DARN MUCH FUN! Just DO IT.
Deletetry the paste! it is so much fun!! i promise you will love it.
DeleteYears ago I took my first stamping class from Jennifer at a local store and I've been hooked ever since. She continues to inspire me every day. And I am blessed to call her my best friend. Love you Jennifer.
ReplyDeletelove you jana
DeleteI have been watching her forever. I have learned so much! You are right to pick her as an inspirational person.
ReplyDeletethank you!
DeleteI too have learned so much from watching Jennifer's videos. I think the most wonderful thing that I love about Jennifer's teaching is that I feel encouraged to go and play in my Craft Room instead of feeling too intimidated to try - and that's a really big thing for me as I am not a confident cardmaker.
ReplyDeleteyay! that is awesome. thank you!
DeleteJennifer is the absolute BEST in our world of card making. I have learned so much from her over the years. Her talent is immeasurable. Just pure genius. I echo the comments about the Online Card Classes. Nothing better out there. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say thank you for choosing this world a few years ago, Jennifer. Your impact is beyond compare!
ReplyDeletewow. you rock. thank you!
DeleteJennifer is such a great teacher, she explains everything so wellI've been inspired to try so many new techniques thanks to her awesome videos. I've organized and reorganized my stamp room and now love it thanks to her organizational videos! And best of all, I love that she supports and shares so many small businesses in the industry! She's the best!
ReplyDeleteJennifer's love for the Lord comes out in her creativeness and teaching!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing what she is doing
God bless!
DeleteFor about 6 months after one of my dearest friends died, I lost any creative ability when it came to making cards. Searching for some new ideas, I somehow stumbled onto one of Jennifer's videos. I was totally hooked after that! She gives amazing inspiration with each video, and the way she teaches ensures successful card-making to those of us who watch.
ReplyDeleteoh i am so sorry to hear of your loss. but i am so glad crafting has brought you some healing. xo
DeleteWhat have I learned from Jennifer? So many cardmaking techniques and ideas, through the Online Card Classes, and her blog! But the best things about Jennifer are not her cardmaking talent - they are her kindness, humility, ingenuity, sense of humour, the way she loves her family and, most of all, her generosity. All the design team at A Blog Named Hero have been the recipients of her generosity, and I'd just like to thank her. :)
ReplyDeletebig fan of yours too. :)
DeleteI was a huge scrapbooker and had several friends to say I needed to also make cards. I quickly said no thanks and continued scrapbooking. I also love watching videos on YouTube and several years ago one of both Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner's video's popped up as a suggestion. I was not as much interested in the making of their cards as I was the products they introduced me to and how to use them. Fast forward...sad to say I rarely scrapbook anymore. I am in love with making pretty cards and can honestly say it is because of these two ladies. My husband may not thank you for it, but I sure do!
ReplyDeletesounds like the same path i took - started with scrapbooking too!
DeleteOh my goodness, who doesn't love Jennifer McGuire? Her videos & tips are amazing. She makes everything look so easy!
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards today!
thank you!

ReplyDeleteJennifer has taught me about kindness. Yes, I LOVE her techniques and learn so much from her but the thing I admire most about her is she has a heart of gold. Always giving. Taking her blessings and sharing. I'm in awe of her spirit and feel so blessed that I get to call her a friend. Love you Jen. xoxo
ReplyDeletei love you!
DeleteWow there is a lot I could say about Jennifer McGuire. She is the reason I started making cards in the first place. I was on you tube and honestly don't know how I stumbled upon her videos. But I am so glad that I did. She is such a wonderful teacher. You watch her techniques and she explains them so well. I'm not sure I'll make sense when I say this. But she does it in a timely manner, and they are easy to follow. She is sweet, loves her family with all her heart, such a talented crafter. She is so many things she's just wonderful. I think it would be so amazing to meet her one day. She is so inspiring and I just want to thank her for getting me into such a wonderful craft.
ReplyDeletethank you for your kind words!

ReplyDeleteI just recently found Jennifer McGuire's blog while searching for a way to store my stamps. I absolutely love her storage ideas! They work so well for me. I recently learned to use ink with embossing folders and I love the way it turned out! She replied to a comment I left on her blog with questions about embossing powder and even made a point to email me to help! I really appreciate all your inspiration!
yay! hope the embossing worked out. :)
DeleteI have definitely gotten better at it thanks to you!
DeleteI have learned so much from her I am not sure where to start. Love her organizational vids…they make my OCD happy! ;) I also love seeing the various simple ways she creates embellishments. It shows you that you don't have to send a lot of money to create a gorgeous card!
ReplyDeletehahaha! xo
DeleteJennifer has always been an inspiration. Though I dont have a blog or post my cards, I can look back through my photos and see so much of Jennifers influence there. I love bright, colourful, watercolour, distress, inktense and easy and Jennifer has always made every idea appear very easy. I love that she has always shared her wonderful talent and that she can put into practice the ideas we have but cant see aWay of doing. Brilliant videos, clear instructions and always happy to respond to my questions. May never get to meet Jennifer but I still feel as though I know her as a friend.
ReplyDeletewould love to meet you, aileen!
DeleteWow. where do I even start? When I came into this world of papercrafting the one persons creations who stood out to me in ck magazines and on two peas first was jennfier ditz, who turned into jennifer ditz-mcguire and who we now know as jennifer mcguire :) she is always inspiring me with her techniques and ideas! Not to mention how sweet of a person she is... I will never forget the 1st time I met her :) thank you jennifer for all the creativity!!
ReplyDeleteand you know i love you! cheers.
DeleteI recently had the opportunity to meet Jennifer in person and she is everything everyone has said and so much more. She inspires me everyday and the world is a happier and more creative place because she is in it.
ReplyDeletexo!
DeleteI absolutely adore Jennifer! I read each one of her post and watch all her videos, some more than once, I learned so much from her, my favorite is the inlaid die cut, I also too some of her class and admire her creativity, and she is an inspiration in every way, she is not only a talented artist but a wonderful, generous and kind person. I think we owe her like 90% of the techniques we use in cardmaking. Go Jennifer! I'd love to meet her in person.
ReplyDeletewould love to meet you too. xo
DeleteIf I could only watch one person's videos out of all there are out there to watch, it would be Jennifer's. Just as you and everyone else in the comments above have said, she is awesome, and even tho' she's young enough to be my daughter, she is my idol. My only problem with her is that she seems to have some kind of spell over me so that whenever she showcases something, I feel like I just have to have it.
ReplyDeletehahaha! there are worse things i could enable. lol
DeleteHow has Jennifer influenced me? Endlessly. I saw my first tutorial from Jennifer, gosh, probably 6 or 7 years ago - for using crackle paint! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnYmtFEHpOI). I was instantly hooked to her friendly and educational nature. I would share the things I learned from the tutorials with my grandmother, my fellow crafter, at her house where we had a 'scrapbook room'. Then, in 2011, my grandmother passed away. Suddenly I found myself crafting alone and in silence. I still loved to create, but it was not the same. With the technology of youtube, I have been able to follow Jennifer and her endlessly-helpful videos to fill that silence. Though I am physically alone, it does not feel that way. Jennifer's generosity with her techniques, tricks and talent give me a trail of inspiration that doesn't seem to end. I believe I live just a state away from her - represent the midwest! - I even won a giveaway she did within the last year and felt so honored to receive her product recommendations to create with. Jennifer, thank you for all you give to us. You're beyond inspirational. You fuel us all with a light of creativity that cannot burn out. You are awesome!
ReplyDeletewhat kind words. thank you!
Deletepretty much have jennifer mcguire as my number one crafting idol. She is definitely the one who has enabled me into the most products. I love what she does with everything and just have to have it! LOL!
ReplyDeleteit is an addicting hobby, huh? love it!
DeleteI'm a big fan of Jennifer too! It's no secret that she is immensely talented (albeit too humble to admit it) and that she is a great teacher. But I love most about her is her generous and kind spirit. She is a living example of how to lead a positive, selfless and always kind life. She has inspired me to try and put smiles on other people's faces - be it beloved friends and family or be it colleagues and contractors whose work usually goes unnoticed. Her blog and instagram feed provides much more than just eye candy. Obviously, it provides visual inspiration in abundance, but it also provides an ample amount of spiritual inspiration to be better.
ReplyDeletei appreciate that so much. love you!
DeleteWhen I first started making acrds, I became addicted to Hero Arts and their website (they didn't even have a blog back then)...this had to be about 15 years ago? Jennifer had just changed careers from engineering to paper crafting, and I always admired her ability to combine stamps and colors so perfectly on cards. I was also struck by her ability to use stamps on scrapbook layouts...I added tons of her layouts to my "favorites" folder at my Hero Arts club account and still have them there! Her skills are amazing, her generosity and creativity are admirable, and she got me started on my first card drives, too. She is a perfect person to admire in our industry, for sure!
ReplyDeletethank you for that! xo
DeleteI can't even begin to tell all the things I have learned from Jennifer. She amazes me constantly with all the fabulous ideas, techniques and tips that she packs into her videos. A true inspiration! Thanks!
ReplyDeletethank YOU!
DeleteShe's so professional. She seems to shoot her video and then completes the voice track while watching the video. As a result, her demos are crammed with information and insight. I can't pick one thing that Jennifer has taught me because with every video, I acquire a new technique, discover a new tool or a clever way to stretch my supplies. Her blog has become a happy escape for me and has pointed me to other designers and bloggers to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I do wish she'd warn suppliers before she features something in her blog because they can never meet the demand. :-) Like a little-known author hoped to get on Oprah's book club, new artists and products should hope for a link on Jennifer McGuire Ink. Ha!
ha! i try to warn stores but they often have to wait on the companies. i wish life allowed me the time to work far in advance but it doesn't. but i keep working on it!
DeleteHa, I don't know where to begin! Some years ago, I happened to came across a German book about Scrapbooking. Don't ask! I thought this could be done better and found a copy of CK Magazine in an online shop. And there she was! Showing wonderful techniques for cards and scrapbooking! She is the reason I started paper crafting and is my hero. Even my husband knows who she is and THAT says something! Love you, Jennifer!!!
ReplyDeletehi to you... and your husband! :)
DeleteMy go to guide to all things card making ... a star ... a genius ... thank you so much, Jennifer!
ReplyDeletefar from a genius or star... but thank you!
DeleteHas Jennifer influenced me? Do you have time for a book!? She is my all time favorite cardmaker. Distress inks, die cutting, glitter, off-the-plate cutting, embossing of all kinds, etc. I can't even think of all that she has taught me! I want to be have just a fingernail full of her creativity for ten minutes... just ten minutes! And she loves Jesus as well... need I say more!?
ReplyDeletejesus rocks! so do you.xo
DeleteI can't even begin to top what everyone else has already said here about Jennifer. She is absolutely an amazingly talented crafter. We all love and admire her, and feel as if she is our close friend due to her wonderful spirit that is conveyed through each and every one of her amazing videos. Thank you Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteawwwh.... thank you so much for your kind words.
DeleteWhere to begin…Jennifer has inspired me to explore many different types of products and techniques I never would have otherwise--- using sentiment stamps, word dies, and of late background stamps. I feel she's helped me with organizing me ever growing stash of craft supplies too. Best of all, I think she is super personable and a great teacher and demonstrator. She is generous and inspirational.
ReplyDeleteorganizing can be fun, right? enjoy! :)
DeleteJennifer is so talented. I have learnt so much from all her videos and online classes. To pick just one time she has inspired me would be very hard. There are far too many times. Plus added to all this, she is one very generous lady.
ReplyDeletethank you. :)
DeleteJennifer's blog is chocked full of ideas that she shares how to do. She even admits she makes mistakes and doesn't "love" every card she makes. She reminds you that you don't have to always have the latest new thing and use what you have. I love to watch the new stamps, dies, stencils, inks, organization and on and on and on that she posts about on her blog and in her videos. My wish lists are all over the place from things she has shown us. Thanks Jennifer!
ReplyDeletethanks for your comment. i appreciate it!
DeleteJennifer, I agree with everything that's been said here. There are three things that I instantly think of when I hear your name. 1. Master teacher/educator - you have a gift. As someone in education who evaluates teachers - you are one of the best. Your ability to share ideas and / or techniques so that all can understand is outstanding. 2. Fabulous organizer - LOVE all your organization tips. I use many of them myself and appreciate you sharing your ideas. The best is that many of your ideas can be tweaked to fit whatever our own spaces will accommodate. I LOVE organizing my craft stuff as much as I love crafting and your tips are read over and over again. 3. BEAUTIFUL person both inside and out. I love your kind spirit and how open and honest you are. You are truly inspirational.
ReplyDeleteWarm Hugs,
Katherine xxx
oh man i am blushing. thank you for this. sending you warm hugs too.
DeleteJennifer just wows me with her talent and ability to stretch her supplies/tools to create awesome projects. I have learned many new techniques and what products to use effectively. Her generous spirit has inspired me to bring smiles to recipients of various card drives. Thanks for having her on your blog.
ReplyDeletethank YOU!
DeleteYes Jennifer is an educator for me ! As a card maker I have learned a lot from her videos right from aligning stamps ,cards n stencil to stamping ,embossing n die cutting techniques.I came to know about various products from her and she explains it very nicely be it about ink ,stamps or dies ! A BIG THANK YOU to Jennifer for being so kind in sharing n making videos..
ReplyDeleteand THANK YOU for taking the time to share this.
DeleteShe's like the Goddess of the Paper Crafting World! I don't have specifics, but she has definitely inspired me, entertained me, and enabled me to spend lots of money!!!!!!!!! But that's ok, it's money well spent :) Looking forward to seeing her GDT work this week! WE LOVE YOU JENNIFER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteright back at ya! :)
DeleteJennifer is nothing short of just amazing. Oozing talent and creativity - the best teacher ever - but I am so biased..... LOL.... Thanks for incredible tips, products and ultimately, beautiful cards....
ReplyDeleteyou are too sweet!
DeleteI am so with scrapthat! Jennifer is the best. She does so much to help people learn to make great cards. Her work with distress inks is the best. No wonder W&W love her. She picked right up on their new creations and showed them to everyone! The classes that she and Kristina teach are filled with excellent
ReplyDeleteIdeas. Just trying out her ideas makes you feel like a star!
thank you!
DeleteGee, what haven't I learned from Jennifer!!! I flourish in paper crafting because of Jennifer's sharing of her talent and skills and her teaching skills. I love distress inks because of Jennifer--I love stencils because of Jennifer. I craft because I get to try new techniques because of Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteawww... thank you! i am so glad you enjoy the hobby.
DeleteJennifer was the person who inspired me to start creating cards, her sweet personality and tutorials as well as her style and generosity of spirit was such a source of inspiration and continues to be to this day. I had the opportunity to meet her in person at SSS Create in May in Columbus Ohio, and I was able to tell her in person how much she has inspired me. She is as sweet and lovely in real life!! I also had the pleasure of meeting Shay, who too, has taken her creativity and is sharing it with us! Thank you to both of you
ReplyDeleteand thanks to YOU for making all the hard work worth it. xo
DeleteI have gained so much from Jennifer's blog, and youtube channel. She is so generous with her tips and techniques that I have vastly improved from what I was, owing to her and a few other generous souls in the paper crafting industry. I truly appreciate her willingness to share her knowledge and time with the community. Her blog is my #1 place to learn new techniques, get to know new companies and products, and to draft my wishlist. God, she is such an enabler! Most of the stuff I buy is after seeing her use them. Thank you, Jennifer! And thanks W&W for the chance to sound off :)
ReplyDeletehaha - new crafting goodies are so much fun! :)
DeleteI attended a workshop with Jennifer in Buffalo, NY. We made a canvas with hearts on it. Each heart had a different technique. I have this in my craft room and think of her everyday. since then I have taken online card classes, visited her blog, watched her on YouTube. I've learned so much from her over the years. She has inspired me with her organization, her style, her innovation. So grateful to her for so many ideas over the years. Just love her!
ReplyDeleteyay! thank you. :)
DeleteI love Jennifer because she has taught me she doesn't start over, she fixes. That is a valuable lesson for me. I've learned to cover up with embellishments or scratch out ink with a craft knife. She gives so many tips in her videos as she goes along that help me as much as seeing her make the cards. I also learned a better way to store my stamps. She is the best.
ReplyDeleteyay! cheating is the best technique in crafting. (and the only place in life we can do it! LOL)
DeleteOh, boy, where do I start? Jennifer has been an inspiration to me for many years! I first found her during her Thinking Inking, online classes, and those videos made me totally fall in love with card making! I secretly wish for a "Jennifer video" every, single day! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been lucky enough to meet her in person twice, at Scrapfest years ago - taking her Hero Arts classes. What a treat that was!
My only complaint would be her enabling! Lol! My wallet has been emptied many times over the years because of her recommendations of products! Ha! :)
I want to thank Jennifer for being the kind, sweet, generous person she is - teaching and helping all of us to become better card makers! Love that girl! ♥
love you barb!
DeleteI found Jennifer's blog in the beginning of 2014 and have been hooked ever since. I could and definitely have spent hours just watching all her videos!! Hers is the first blog that I check everyday because I am so excited to see what she has posted. She is so creative and such a wonderful teacher. Her videos exude her passion for papercrafting and they are so well put together! Long enough to impart vital information but short enough to keep our attention! I absolutely love her teaching techniques and her willingness to discover and share new techniques and products. Her videos are great for the entire spectrum of hobby crafters - newbies to experts! She is such an inspiration both as a role model and as a muse! Thanks to Jennifer for being so wonderful and for sharing her talent with the rest of us!!
ReplyDeletethank you for your sweet words. you rock.
DeleteWhat can I say that hasn't already been posted about the wonderful, generous, sweet spirited Jennifer McGuire? I guess a very heart warmed thank you for all the creative inspiration that you give me every day of the week. So big hugs from me to you with a big Thank You for making me make cards in so many different ways that I didn't know was possible. Your my #1.
ReplyDeleteand you are #1 for sharing this. thank you.
DeleteWhat can you say about Jennifer McGuire that hasn't already been said. Her talent is manifest in everything she does. Especially and most importantly, teaching. I've learned so much from her videos, if I listed it all here, you'd be reading until Christmas 2025. Let's just say, I NEVER MISS ONE OF HER BLOGPOSTS. Jennifer personifies sweetness and generosity of spirit. She does this so modestly to which is one of the reasons she's so well thought of. You've really lucked out having her as a guest. Wahoo for you. Knew it wouldn't be long, though...you have such terrific products.
ReplyDeletei appreciate this. you are always such a big cheerleader. i appreciate it.
DeleteJM is everything you described and more...because she is always giving. I learned not to be afraid of trying a new technique...if it doesn't turn out...don't be hard on yourself...learn and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteyay! yes! enjoy!!! :)
DeleteWhat a nice blog post!! What a great opportunity to share :) I am a newer fan/follower of Jennifer's, since being a student in the Stenciled OCC earlier this year--Fabulous techniques using stencils in so many different ways! WOW! Since then, I've also taken the Watercolor for Card Makers OCC class, too and again, with Jennifer as one of the instructors, I'm using all kinds of water coloring techniques in my card making--Thanks to Jennifer!! Congrats to W&W and Jennifer for having such a beautiful working relationship together!! We all benefit from it :) XOXO-Shari
ReplyDeletethank you!xo

Her sweetness & the way she teach us all the different techniques made me feel that i can do it! every week i longing for her videos! Thanks to her i'm able to express(among other things) my love for my fam & friends through beautiful cards that Jennifer taught me! She's amazing in every way, this planet is a better place because she is in it! Thank you Jennifer & God bless you! also Thank you W&W for to have such a great stamps!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you too!!
DeleteJennifer's videos and projects are always wonderful! I have especially started using distress inks because of her Thinking Inking classes.
ReplyDeleteI have wached videos of Jennifer over and over again. I have just began making cards and with her teaching and knowledge I have kept on going even after thoughts of just giving up when it just doesn't turn out. She is amazing at what she does and her personality fits that bill as well. Thank you Jennifer for your amazing work that you share with the world. I couldn't have done it with out you!
ReplyDeleteI love that she loves teaching and sharing all the neat/cool techniques she discovers~ she is seriously a wealth of information and just full of talent~
ReplyDeleteI've been following Jennifer for years... And I love her HEART that was obvious in the scrapbook pages she had published in CK - I was one of the ones who would use a magnifying glass to read the journaling!! LOL! And since then, I watch ALL her videos and take ALL her online card classes. I owe all I've learned about Distress Inks, Stencils and Watercoloring to Jennifer and Kristina Werner in the Online Card Classes. Even though she has these classes, she continues to put FREE content out there for everyone and I really appreciate that! I'm a "lifer" at Online Card Classes - whatever it is, sign me up if Jennifer is teaching it!! :-)

ReplyDeleteSuper video's by Jennifer! Jennifer is so informative, I follow her blog and find so many time saving tricks and techniques to follow!
ReplyDeleteI take her online classes, avail myself of anything she offers. Her background as an engineer is apparent in presentation and content. Of course, I admire her paper-crafting skill, but when I think of her, I think of someone who has her priorities sorted correctly. And I admire that she puts aside personal competitiveness to showcase other women. She is exceptional.
ReplyDeleteJennifer has been in my "must watch & follow" queue for years. She is, indeed, the consummate educator and cheerleader. She realizes not all of us have unlimited funds and is always suggesting alternate ways to achieve the looks she's showing us. She also does lots of product testing and cuts right to what she considers the best products. That, in itself, has saved me a lot of money and experimentation. I don't think there's a video of hers I haven't learned something from, whether I ever use the technique or not. Her engineering skills always shine through and she shuns the spotlight and shares it generously with others, showcasing talent we might not find on our own. She's tops!
ReplyDeleteThis post is very timely, for me, because I had just told all my peeps on Twitter that not a day goes by when I am in my craft room, that I don't use at least one tip I have learned from Jennifer! She is so inspirational and manages to be so down to earth at the same time.
ReplyDeleteJennifer's blog has been a staple in my life for so long I can't remember. I read her blog every morning if there is one with my first cup of coffee. Her videos are absolutely outstanding. She is s wonderful teacher because she second guesses all the details and areas where people might have a problem and relates to them immediately and always has solutions. Her creativity is boundless, and it amazes me the ideas keep flowing and flowing and flowing. I have used so, so many of her lessons and learned so much. I'm an avid fan of distress inks and dies!!! She also brings in the human touch and I have watched her darling son, Colin, grow up on her blog. Boy, would I love to be his teacher because she makes wonderful things for his class and teachers. Love all the stories about Lila, her daughter. Both children exhibit wonderful characteristics, too, because of the wonderful family she has. Her online classes are fantastic and so much learning goes on during those classes. So basically I would say that I would like to be her and live in that fantastically organized craft room she has. She really is a gem int he crafting world.
ReplyDeleteI learned, from Jennifer not too fuss too much when using copics. I learned about shading and stenceling. I learn from her whenever she teaches us something. She is a wonderful teacher and talented artist.
ReplyDeletei watch most of Jennifers videos and share with a crafty friend. of all the you tube links i share there are more of hers than any other person. I love that she makes techniques accessible with a wide variety of materials not just the ones in the video
ReplyDeleteI have read each and every comment, and I agree with all the wonderful things that have been said about Jennifer. Beyond her incredible abilities as a papercrafter, teacher and organizer, I have been so impressed by the type of Christian and human being she is! She genuinely cares about others, loves God and her family and isn't ashamed to share any of that publicly. The way she supports other crafters, bloggers and start up companies shows that she isn't out for herself, but always trying to help others grow, prosper and learn. I started crafting as an outlet from my chronic illnesses and Jennifer was right there to teach and encourage me. She even sent me a card, which is one of my prized possessions! I lived with and cared for my elderly mom for 10 years, and got her started on making cards as well. We both learned of Vera and Jennifer's card drive each year for nursing home residents at Christmas. Together we made cards and sent them in. Sadly, last year, mom had to enter a nursing home herself. I contacted Jennifer and Vera and throught their kindness, my mom and several others on her floor received cards at Christmas. This is the heart of Jennifer McGuire, a giving and loving person, who happens to be famously talented as well! I admire her and aspire to be like her in all ways.
ReplyDeleteYou are fabulous Jennifer and quite an enabler....and a wonderful teacher. It's the first I've seen a background die...lovely and intricate.I'm inspired. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMay I add to the amazing accolades, so richly deserved, by saying Jennifer never ceases to amaze me with her talents at seeing things in more ways than one. I love watching her videos because they're always so clearly informative and her final product is never anything less than gorgeous. She and Kristina are definitely the gurus of card making!
ReplyDeleteJennifer is by far one of the most generous crafters I've come across in the 6 years since I've been making cards. I have benefited from some of her organizational tips, and her informative videos make novice crafters (and experts as well!) try new techniques with amazing results. She loves sharing her talent & knowledge with all of us and your site is indeed lucky to have her as your Guest Designer. There was never any doubt she is "Special" :-)
ReplyDeleteI love watching Jennifer's videos. She has inspired me to try new techniques and to get organized. She is always so cheerful and down to earth, and I appreciate how she shares when she "goofs" and makes a new plan for what she is making. She is a stupendous talent and paper crafting industry leader, but she makes me feel like one of my girlfriends who is stamping with me at my table.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many talented crafters who share their wonderful work, but Jennifer definitely stands out. No-one else's videos leave me as excited and inspired as hers do. I love the fact that she shows how to fix mistakes - an absolute bonus and godsend for me! I must admit though that my bank account isn't that happy - I end up buying many of the products she uses - but I definitely am very happy. Thank you so much Jennifer and may all the joy you give people come back to you a thousandfold.
ReplyDeleteJennifer has inspired me with her inlaid die cuts, stencil techniques, and just so many of her insightful videos.
ReplyDeleteYou ladies have said it all! Jennifer McGuire simply ROCKS! I have never seen another artist give of her time, talent and caring as much as Jennifer does. And yes, I have started my organization of my stamps using your techniques. Jennifer, you are "my hero"!
ReplyDeleteJennifer is my "go to Guru". If I need a technique or run out of inspiration, to Jennifer I go. I feel like we are BFF's. I have watched her for so long, I have gone through a pregnancy with her, watched her kids grow, seen her vacation pics, etc. She is a multi-talented women and such a great person. Although I have never met her, you can tell by the way someone posts what kind of person they are. She's honest and true. They don't come any better than Jennifer Mcguire. She's on my bucket list. One day, if Im lucky, I hope to meet her, take a class from her. And of course give her a inky hug!!! You are wise and very lucky to have Jennifer working with your products. Keep them in stock, because if she uses them, you will sell out!!! I can't wait to see what she does with your products!! Be proud, to tell people, you work with the one, the only, Jennifer McGurie!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say about Jennifer that hasn't already been said in these comments? I love her style, her enthusiasm, her honesty, her heart, her 'realness'. She has been an inspiration to so many people through her blog and her great online card classes. She is a wonderful teacher who always finds a way to make you see something new. She offers suggestions and different ideas to do the same technique, knowing not everyone has all the supplies she does. She never talks down to her audience, you just feel like it's you and her in a room and she is talking you through how to make a card. And I love that she gives all this out of the goodness of her heart; she doesn't expect anything in return. She genuinely wants us all to be better crafters! And we are - because of her! Thank you Jennifer!! We love you!
ReplyDeleteJennifer hasn't just taught me how to stamp - she has instilled in me a love of stamping and techniques - and I use these on nearly every card I make! I am such a great fan and fee thatl we are so lucky to have her in our lives - hugs xx
ReplyDeleteI was just recently thinking of all the poor souls in the world who don't know the wonder and magic of playing with Distress Inks. Oh what they are missing ;) And Jennifer was the one who introduced me to their magic!
ReplyDeleteJennifer is a wonderful ambassador for the paper crafting world. She it talented, generous, and such a great instructor. One technique is never enough for a card. She goes the extra mile telling how to try other ways to do something, other possible endings for a card. And she isn't afraid to change things part way through. I love watching her work. Thanks, Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteI love Jennifer and her cards. There's always something I learn from her... but I especially love ways she uses stencils. Her videos are always really easy to follow (and I love her special little guest who sometimes make an appearance).
ReplyDeleteJennifer keeps me motivated to try new techniques. I have loved her teaching style going back to when she taught classes at my local store. I really appreciate everything from the techniques I have learned (and yes, especially the magic of distress inks) to her passion for organization. I am a recent convertee to the refrigerator bins -- wonderful idea, hoping this will allow me more time to craft and less time to look for things (and maybe I will actually have some workspace). Jennifer, thank you for showing us that you can have a career that you are passionate about.
ReplyDeleteJennifer is one of the most talented and inspiring artist / card makers I have ever "met"!!!
ReplyDeleteHer cards INSPIRE and her videos TEACH me SO MUCH - I ALWAYS LEARN something, whether it is a new technique to me, a top tip or a reminder of an older, forgotten technique that I really should be using!!!
Seriously....I have learned so much from Jennifer that I can't begin to put it all into words, other than her talent totally amazes me and she really ROCKS the papercrafting world and she does it all in such a suh-weet way! Love her videos...
ReplyDeleteJennifer, you certainly are a super star in the crafting world! The only thing I can add is that I go to sleep at night watching your on-line card classes and dream about card making. How good is that?
