Hello lovelies! Welcome to our monthly Rerun post! First, we are going to announce winners from last month's Rerun No. 25 | Merry & Bright with Evelin T Designs.
We had such lovely entries and Mr. Random chose this challenge entry to win a $25.00 credit to the w&w shop:
Congrats Deepti and Arianna! Please email us at info {at} winniewalter {dot} com. Arianna, I will additionally need your mailing address.
Now on to this month's Rerun!
Each Rerun will provide plenty of inspiration focusing upon a featured product, a month-long sale on the featured product and a challenge (with a prize!) and giveaway. You will not want to miss out!
For our twenty-sixth Rerun we are concentrating on Comfort + Joy. There are some woodsy, rustic natural elements which are perfect for winter and work amazingly well with Winter Woodland as well as for masculine cards. There are so many options for creativity here.
Now on to the cards!
Now on to the cards!
Shay
Comfort + Joy is full of some of my favorite images and I really love the little sentiments which can be sprinkled anywhere and everywhere. I am really happy to play again with this stamp!
I went with a simple design which can be easily mass produced and easy to change up using a different mask, background sentiment or color.
First, I stamped the little sentiment over and over the panel in a darker color ink than the one I used to blend ink with. I really did not worry about perfection as the words work together to create a dynamic whole. Next, I used In a Word: Joy Cutaway and In a Word: Noel Cutaway and cut out one of each and then I used the die cuts as masks. I simply held the die cut in place as I used my ink blending tool and Distress Ink. I concentrated the color around the word and blend out from there. Holding the word in place I then flicked water for more interest. I put the words aside (save those for another project later). I then stamped the antlers from the stamp set above the "o" in Versamark and then heat embossed it in gold. I actually changed the placement of the antlers to work with the size of the "o" of each word.
Last, I added some gold glitter enamel dots making sure to add one in the middle of the "o" like a gold nose (lol) before I attached each panel to a white cardstock A2 card base.
That's it from me...wait until you see what Heather H., Kelly and Lydia did with Comfort + Joy...so awesome!
