Hi there and welcome all you lovely Winnie & Walter fans! Lydia here with you today and I'm so happy you stopped by!
Today I have a card that shows just a little pencil shading can add so much depth to a solid image.
Firstly I wanted to concentrate all of my pattern stamping inside a heart. To do this I took the solid heart image from True Multifaceted Heart Cutaways and cut it out of masking paper, instead of using the heart I used the negative piece and added it to my card layer- this will then mask the outer edge of the heart shape.
To stamp inside the heart die cut I used the beautiful set In Bloom: Hollie's Festive Florals, I stamped the flowers in a coral-pink colour and the leaves in a green ink. I used the little dotted flower to fill in the empty spaces in a light pink. To make the heart 'pop' a little more I inked inside the heart using a blending tool and a light pink ink.
Once this was finished I removed the negative heart die-cut and added some details with coloured pencils- I added the stems of the leaves in a darker green and added little flicks from the base of the petals in a dark pink.
For the sentiment I used Wishing You with Evelin T Designs and stamped in a dark black and heat embossed in clear to make it shine.
To finish I cut the panel using the large layer die from Essentials: Katharine Cutaways.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you like my card and give the pencil shading a go.
Hugs, Lydia xxx
