Gifts of Giving | It's a Wrap with Mayuri

Hello there - Mayuri here to share my Winnie & Walter 'Gift of Giving' project with you. I decided to stick to what comes naturally to me, and created my own wrapping paper using some of the christmas themed stamps from Winnie & Walter (Happy Christmas and Winter Woodland). For a fun twist, I did a bit of heat embossing using tinsel silver embossing powder ;-)

I love how you can totally stretch your stamps this way and create heaps of pattern paper. I began by arranging and mounting the chosen images onto a Fiskars stamp press, and stamping across a large piece of kraft paper with Versamark Ink. In between each impression, I sprinkled the embossing powder and heat set. Then I went in with a different image and stamped with black ink. Here's how it looked wrapped around a box:

I tied some ribbon and twine around the package, and finished up with a couple of word die-cuts using Winnie & Walter's cutaways - I cut three of each word out of some thick cardstock and sandwiched them together to create thicker embellishments. I saw this as something that could be used instead of tags, and an idea that could translate to gifts being given all year round! All you have to do is change up the die-cuts to suit the season (or event)!
