Good morning!
Heather here stopping by this morning to share a new Color Combo Challenge with you! Thanks again to everyone who has played along so far - make sure and look for winners and a few featured players at the bottom of this post!
And here is my color inspiration for this month:
This month I decided to go with something summery, but (hopefully!) cool and refreshing as well! This image jumped out at me on Pinterest - so I went with it! I decided to use
From the Bottom of My Heart (a previous release's free with purchase stamp set that is now available to purchase on it's own) and pair it up with it's new coordinating
From the Bottom of My Heart Cutaways and
Scenery: Spotty Creative Screenings. I first created my background by using the stencil with a tone on tone ink, then turning it and using a white ink for a two tone ombre background. The heart I stamped in green on a soft green cardstock - and then stamped the larger words in in white to make them pop a little more. I die cut it with the coordinating die, then attached with foam adhesive over a bundle of silver thread. The front panel was cut with
Essentials: Katharine Cutaways, then mounted on a white cardbase with a few sequins for extra sparkle and fun.

Now - I have a few favorites from the last
Color Challenge to feature! Every single project was lovely, but I thought I'd give a shout out to a few that especially caught my eye!
First up - this GORGEOUS little number by
Mayras Designs - LOVE how she added the stripes to the die cut word - and all the lovely layers with all that white space!
And then this unique take on it -
Maria F. took the inspiration in such a soft and CAS way - so striking!
Then
Jessica Lin's take with ink blending for a bold and gorgeous look! LOVE!
I adore
Marlena M's cascade of pretty flowers - I love the way she stamped the solid flower images in the solid colors and then added the black lines to incorporate that element from the inspiration photo!
And finally - this GORGEOUS floral watercolor work of art by
Andrea Shell - those flowers are so stunning, and the bold sentiment and baker's twine is the perfect touch!

>>>RANDOMLY CHOSEN WINNER<<<
No. 1 | Preeti D.
Preeti made this beautiful card including painting the sleek dress free hand for our June Color Combo Challenge.
And since we had so many gorgeous, colorful entries (and because I just feel like it and one the perks of being the boss at w&w is I can do these things on a whim!) I randomly chose one of the Heather's favorite cards featured above to also win as well!
No. 15 | Maria F.
I love Maria's simple, but creative touches of color and texture like on the die cut pieces (that remind me of feathers) peeking out of the top of the "hi" where the color was added by stamping sentiments in different colored inks!
Preeti and Maria F., please email us at info {at} winniewalter {dot} com with the subject "June Color Combo Challenge Winner" to claim your prize.
