For our 3rd Birthday Bash we have several special guest stars joining us. Our first special guest star is someone everyone can't help but love with her constant encouragement, giving nature and beautifully clean and simple style: Amy Tsuruta! She has been a leading lady of ours and joined us as a special guest star in the past and it is a real delight to have her on the w&w blog every time. Now we happily turn over the w&w blog today to Amy....
Hello! It's Amy here and I'm super excited to be guesting here on the Winnie & Walter blog today! I have a couple projects to share with you so let's get started!
First up is a project that features the new Mini Scenery: Bed of Roses and a sentiment from the Welcome to the Family with Evelin T Designs.
One style of card that I simply do not design enough of are birthday cards, how about you? I decided to use the Essentials: Noelle Cutaways and layer the Mini Scenery: Bed of Roses on top. I stamped the roses in Distress Ink - Mowed Lawn and then watercolored the image.
After everything was completely dry, I topped off the card with the happy birthday sentiment.
This is going to be perfect for an upcoming birthday party that I'm going to this weekend.
I have a couple more cards to share with you:
I managed to play along with some of the W&W 3rd Birthday Bash Challenges!
This card is for Cute Critter Challenge with Gayatri:
Eep! The Big Hugs with Evelin T Designs is ADORABLE! I couldn't wait to ink this set up! How cute is that ellie and monkey? I did a bit of a watercolor background and then used the You Mean the World To Me Sentiment in black. I finished it off with a green doily and coordinating clothespin.
Next up is a card for the Three Challenge with Shay and The Gossip Column with Taheerah Atchia | No. 6 - Marble:
I wish you could see the sparkle of the mocha color...it's metallic and so pretty. I used 3 different colors of nail polish and used THIS technique inspired by THIS card.
Things I learned:
Wear Gloves
Use darker colors
Be prepared with all your supplies
I combined Sentimental: Love with In a Word: Thanks Cutaway.
You'll be seeing more marbling from me. It's a fun technique and I need to find some different bottles of polish!
That's it for me today!
Very pretty cards Amy TFS
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards, Amy! So far, I haven't had any luck with the nail polish but I haven't tried pouring it yet. Maybe I should give this a try before I finally give up.

Fantastic cards Amy. We always seem to learn "something" in the process of making our cards. TFS what YOU have learned!
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards Amy! Well you've got me convinced that green really does go with everything. Love all the color combos. I really want to try this technique but I'm a nail polish girl and can't see wasting my polish, lol. I'm going to have to figure something out, maybe the dollar store then I won't feel so bad. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
