Hi everyone! It's lovely being with you today.
I wanted to explore a more subtler way of colouring your stamped images. This was a real challenge for me, as I love bright and happy colours. Sometimes the occasion might call for something a little more gentle styling, so I thought I'd use powdered colours, to create a super easy watercoloured look- but without any of the skill ;-)
Here's what I used. All of these products. The bottles of powdered colours are Infusions by PaperArtsy.
I've heat embossed images from the following Winnie & Walter sets In Bloom:Anna's Flora
Once you've heat embossed with white embossing powder, you sprinkle tiny bits of the powdered colour. These Infusions are a mix of dye-based colour and a walnut stain that have different reaction times, so the longer it is reacting with water, the more the walnut colour comes out.
Next, spray over the powder with water.
Now you can either blot off with kitchen paper or leave to dry naturally or give a little blast with a heat gun.
All's that is needed now, is a little fussy cutting and then arranging onto a card.
I used the stacked die-cut technique with The Big, The Bold and Comfort Cutaways
Hope you liked this technique. It's really very simple and gives a real textural finish to the flowers but makes you get out your current sets to play with new eyes!
Thanks for joining me, and I'll see you soon! xx
