Sympathy for Your Loss with Heather

Good morning! Heather here stopping by to share a few simple sympathy cards that are simple and easy to put together that I made a while back. I prefer to make sympathy cards ahead of time - they are so much harder to actually create when you need them. And The Big, the Bold and the Comfort Stamp Set and coordinating The Big, the Bold, and the Comfort Cutaways are perfect for putting together a sympathy card with exactly the right words.

I simply added a scrap strip of pattern paper from my odds and ends pile, then die cut the "sympathy" word once in black and once in white for each card - once I adhered them I had to trim off a little on each side so that they fit my card front and would still fit in an envelope. Once I aligned the other words, I kept them all on once stamp block so that I could repeat them on each card. I added a few splatters of white Heidi Swapp Color shine to finish these off - it kind of reminds me of tears, so a good fit on these cards I think.

I hope these are inspiring for the more difficult to make cards - and a great way to use up those little scraps. These are also nice and flat, so easy to mail without extra postage needed - another handy touch. Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day!

THANK YOU for sharing and for prompting me to make some in advance ... I have had to make several recently and it is a real struggle when your heart is feeling raw, so I will definitely work on being prepared!!!

  5. Great way of using scraps. The combination with kraft cardstock, sentiment and simplicity of design, make this set perfect for the occasion, although it isn't a happy one.
