Our fabulous February is coming to a close which sadly means it is our last Saturday with our astounding February Leading Lady, Emily Leiphart. We could not have asked for a better leading lady to take the stage during our Belated 2nd Birthday Bash! The last four weeks with Emily and having her join in on our February Belated 2nd Birthday Bash has been a true blessing. Emily's outstanding mastery of design, color and creativity has been a true inspiration and we loved every moment.
Lucky for us all we have her final command performance today.
Hi, everyone! It's hard to believe that this is my final week as Winnie & Walter's Leading Lady! Every Saturday, I shared projects with a weekly theme. Today's theme is gift wrap and I made a set of cards with a tag and matching pillow box in the art deco style!
For the background of the card set, I used pearlescent embossing paste with the Scenery: Do You See What I See? Creative Screenings stencil. I added splatter using a mixture of Black Soot distress ink and water on a Ranger craft sheet.
The stone grey panels were die cut using Essentials: Noelle Cutaways and the white hearts are from the Flawless Heart set, just released last night! The sentiment is In a Word: Thanks Cutaway.
I used the exact same supplies for the pillow box. Since the base of the cards was cut from linen cardstock, so was the pillow box itself. I wrapped the Essentials: Noelle Cutaways die around the pillow box and placed the Flawless Heart on top. Since the centre of the heart was white on white, unlike the cards themselves, I added a stone grey centre before adding the In a Word: Thanks Cutaway sentiment.
Both the pillow box and clear box were wrapped with white silk ribbon. The tag was created using Essentials: Katharine Cutaways. I dry embossed it with the Flawless Heart die and then stamped a small sentiment from Happiest of Holidays with Evelin T Designs on a stone grey heart from the centre of the aforementioned die.
I've truly enjoyed my month as Leading Lady this month and I cannot thank Shay enough for having me! It's been a great honour to be featured here on the Winnie & Walter blog and I hope you have enjoyed my projects. :)

You created such elegance with your monotone color theme. Like the idea of repeating the design on a pillow box.
