We don't think we are alone in being glad that October has 5 Saturdays! This week Keren will have you in the party mood!
Hey! How are you all.
Thanks for all your lovely comments- I've loved reading them all!
Due to being slightly intellectually challenged..I hadn't clocked that there were in fact 5 Saturdays in October ! So- without wanting to disappoint you, you've me for next Saturday too!
This week; different styles of party invitations.
First up...bold and bright
I thought I'd create some chinese lanterns in a night sky using The Party stamp set. It's such a great versatile set and I started off with a white card blank and added the yellow light areas first and then put in the black around the edges with distress inks. Add a little pearlescent mist and some glitter to add some theatre. The lanterns are simply coloured with Copics.
Next I'd thought we'd do more of a rainbow fun party card. I took my inspiration from one of the balloon arches you see at celebrations.
I added colour using distress inks again. The balloons are actually super shiny as you can see below (oh and don't miss the extra sequin on the balloon where the card fell over whilst drying and the glossy accents stuck to the desktop !!)
Lastly, I thought I'd do a simple and delicate style- using stamped vellum. I've fussy cut the flowers from In Bloom: Addie's Garden
If you look carefully, I've used the tag from Essentials: Katharine Cutaways and on the tag, I've dry embossed the chevron pattern from Creative Screenings Scenery: V for cheVron Creative Screenings.
Hope there are some ideas here to inspire you a little when
creating invites or cards for Parties.
Don't forget about the $30 gift voucher that Shay & Julie have so kindly donated. Pop over to my blog if want to know how you can win it!
Keren! you've once again proven that the W&W sets are as versatile as they come!!! I just can't stop staring at that night sky... I want a balloon arch for my birthday, and OH be still my heart ... vellum and I have a thing ... what can I say? Gorgeous cards ... and there's that Addie making me want her more! I cannot wait for the newest goodies, and to see you work their wonder!
