Hello there - Mayuri here to share
a card I made using Winnie & Walter's Scenery:
Rectangled & Triangled stamp set. I absolutely adore sets
like this because I love creating patterns - the possibilities are literally
endless with this one. In fact, you could combine it with the Scenery: V for
cheVron and Scenery: It's a
Wonderful Pennant to go even further! With that in mind,
here's my 'tribal' themed card:
I found various
inspiration on Pinterest when I searched for 'tribal', but this image
in particular was one that I gravitated towards:
I masked off a half
inch border with washitape all the way around an A2 watercolour card base and
painted some coloured stripes across the front with Distress Inks. Once dry, I
built a pattern using individual stamps from Scenery:
Rectangled & Triangled - you need quite a juicy black ink
pad to get a great impression. I used Simon Says Stamp's Black dye
ink and it worked really well...
Before removing the
washitape, I retouched some areas with a black sharpie pen and drew some
horizontal lines to give a more finished, graphic look to the tribal
pattern. I didn't want to add too much more to the card so simply adhered a
white die-cut 'Thanks' on top. This background is so versatile, and can be
changed up really easily if you paint the stripes in different colours.
Hope you feel inspired
to create lots of patterns! Thanks for stopping by ;-)
