December Color Combo with Heather H. (Challenge)

Good morning! Heather here stopping by this morning to share a new Color Combo Challenge with you!

Here is my color inspiration for this month - I loved this color combo that had a bit of a frosty wintery feel - but still a hint of pink and spring at the same time:

I also thought it would be fun to use some of the newest winter and Christmas theme release from Winnie and Walter, and show how you could stretch some of these stamp sets beyond Christmas by using an image from Nutcracker Kisses with Evelin T Designs to create a card that would be super fun for a little girl's birthday!

I started off by creating a watercolor wash on each side with a mix of blues and greens - adding a good splatter of gold with my Starry Colors Palette for some sparkle. While that dried, I stamped and colored that adorable ballerina, die cut her with the coordinating Nutcracker Kisses with Evelin T Designs Dies, then mounted her with foam adhesive over a bundle of gold thread, stamping the sentiment underneath as well.

For the finishing touches I added some white jewels and some Nuvo Drops on the wings, shoes, and the crown. This photo shows the sparkle and shine a bit better:

Now - I have a few favorites from the last Color Challenge to feature! ! So without further ado, here they are!

First up - I love how Janis used the color combo to create this lovely background and so some silhouette stamping on it! SOOO beautiful!

Next up, are these not the CUTEST little snowmen you ever did see? Deepti was able to take a bold bright color combo and create this light and happy card - I love her masking and use of white space - just darling!

And finally, I love the ink smooshing Greta did on this card! She was able to incorporate the color combo so well - and I love how she used the negative die cut for her sentiment! So perfect!
