Rerun No. 34 | Typecast: Cary (Challenge + Giveaway + Sale!) + Winners of Rerun No. 33 (Video)

UPDATED: with extended deadlines!
w&w_rerun_logo
Hello lovelies!  Welcome to our monthly Rerun post!  First, we are going to announce winners from last month's Rerun No. 33 | The Write Stuff: Picture Perfect.

We had such lovely entries and Mr. Random chose this challenge entry to win a $25.00 credit to the w&w shop:

No. 6 | Novel ideas aka Anila Dk

Thank you for all your kind comments as well!  The winner of the The Write Stuff: Picture Perfect stamp set is:

No. 22 | Dana M

Congrats Anila and Dana!   Please email us at info {at} winniewalter {dot} com.  Dana, I will additionally need your mailing address.

Now on to this month's Rerun!

Each Rerun will provide plenty of inspiration focusing upon a featured product, a month-long sale on the featured product and a challenge (with a prize!) and giveaway.  You will not want to miss out!

For our thirty-fourth Rerun we are concentrating on Typecast: Cary. This set is your basic solid letters and numbers in a size with a little heft--create personalized sentiments, names, add a number to a birthday card, etc. all with this set in a font that matches our In a Word series!

Now on to the cards!

Shay

Happy September!  You ready for some typography?

Super easy birthday cards today with 2 different color waves.  One more stereo-typically male and the other female (Did you know that pink was originally going to be assigned to boys rather than girls?  Just saying.)

I began by lining up the grid of numbers from Typecast: Cary on the MISTI and inking it up and stamping it once on 2 different panels with fossilized amber and abandoned coral Oxide Distress Inks.  I love the rustic, worn look to this.  I love to use numbers in birthday cards, but using "25" for Christmas would be perfect too or "31" for Halloween or New Year's Eve would be fun or even "14" for Valentine's Day or the "4" with the "th" could work for the 4th of July and so on and so forth.

To fill in I stamped the smaller and larger open center stars from Comfort + Joy on each in some more Oxide Distress Inks (cracked pistachio + broken china on one and then cracked pistachio + worn lipstick on the other).

I flicked ink (surprise, surprise!) on each panel.  I also cut out "celebrate" and "wish big" from In a Word: Birthday Tiles Cutaways and adhered them to a piece of colored cardstock before adding them to each panel with foam dimensional adhesive.  I adhered each panel to a white A2 card base.  Last, I added some puffy stars.

That's it from me...wait until you see what Crystal (with videos!), Gayatri, Heather and Kelly did with Typecast: Cary ...so amazing!

Now it's your turn to play along with Rerun!
  1. 2. Link up your project here by 11:55 p.m. CST on September 30, 2018  October 8, 2018.
  3. Enter as many times as you want before the deadline.
  4. This Rerun Challenge may be combined with other challenges found here on the w&w blog or elsewhere.
One project will be randomly chosen to win $25.00 credit to the w&w shop!  The winner will be announced on the w&w blog in August.

  11. All the samples are awesome, I'm especially partial to the "Joy" card. Cary is the perfect set to be a "go to" for alpha/numeric (love the the extras too). It's one of those sets that you don't realize you need it until you don't have it lol.
