Dear Friend with Gayatri

Hello everybody, Welcome to my July edition of Winnie & Walter projects. This is the first one for the month.

gayatri_W&W card #1

I had been doing a lot of copic colouring last month. So I thought I will change the medium a bit and do a bit of watercolouring. I stamped the images from In Bloom: Renee’s Leaves on Bristol panel. I used Simon Says Stamp’s Intense Black ink to stamp the images. This ink works with watercolours. And the watercolours I used are Zig Clean Colour Brush pens. The colours I choose to colour the images are Orange, Blue, Olive Green and Yellow. I swiped the colour on one side of the leaves or bottom of each leaf depending on the leaf, then come in with water with a brush to move the pigment in an ombre. I coloured in all the leaves using the same method to make the background.

Once the panel is dry, I added drop shadow using W3 copic marker and gold, black and white spatters. I trimmed the panel and adhered to a yellow card base.

Then I when heat embossed the sentiment from The Big, the Bold and Friends stamp set on black cardstock, trimmed into strips and adhered on the centre of the card front. Finally some sparkling clear diamonds to complete the card.
