Hello again everyone! We really hope you've been enjoying World Card Making Day so far! Have you had a chance to get crafty yet?

If there's one thing better than getting crafty, it's getting crafty with a bunch of friends, right? That's how we feel and that's exactly why we invited some of our good crafty friends to join us today for The Big Hop! You'll come away feeling so inspired after seeing all the amazing creations everyone has come up with!

We're kicking things off with some cards of our own:

Hello there lovelies!  It's Shay here.  I have the pleasure of kicking off The Big Hop and boy are there awesome stops after this!

For the cards I am sharing with you today I was influenced by Taheerah's latest The Gossip Column | No. 5 Precious Metals along with the gorgeous Indigo Hills collection by Pinkfresh Studio--specifically the sierra patterned paper and sticky note pack.

I began by cutting two panels from the sierra patterned paper and then adding a little more visual texture using the Scenery: Persuasion Script Creative Screenings and light grey ink.

On a sheet of sticky note (love that there are sticky notes in this collection) I stamped a leaf from In Bloom: Renee's Leaves in blueprint sketch Distress Ink by Tim Holtz and then used water, the blue ink and a paintbrush to fill in the leaf.  On the celebrate card I added another sticky note to the top of the panel.

Using a paintbrush and Minc black toner paint I added touches to the leaves and other parts of the panels and then added gold foiling with the Minc.  I die cut the "happy" from The Big, the Bold and the Happy Cutaways and the "celebrate" from The Big, the Bold and Party Cutaways from black toner paper.  I ran the die cut toner paper with gold foil in the Minc.  I assembled the cards and each panel was placed on grey card bases.
