Feature Presentation of Coordinating Cutaways | Day 1

 

Last Friday, July 1st we updated the w&w shop with 6 new coordinating cutaways and today thru Thursday we have tons of inspiration and a giveaway each day so be sure to read on to enter!

On to the inspiration!

I wanted to use "adventure" from The Big, the Bold and Fun Cutaways and came up with the idea of using one of the tweet birds from LS Exclusives: So Tweet with Evelin T Designs which I stamped in black ink on a piece of older Crate Paper patterned paper and I cut it out with the new LS Exclusives: So Tweet with Evelin T Designs Cutaways.  Using the reverse side of the patterned paper I stamped and then cut out the cowboy hat using LS Exclusives: So Tweet with Evelin T Designs Cutaways.  I didn't want an outline around the image so I then trimmed around the image.  I colored in the hat other than the band in brown Copics.  I cut out one of each of the cactus from Amy Tangerine/American Crafts patterned paper.  I decided I did not wish to have the detail of the stamped image so I just used the shape.  I arranged the cacti and bird and adhered them down.  I used dimensional foam adhesive on the bird and hat.  I stamped "welcome" from The Big, the Bold and Seasons in black ink.

I created a frame using the two layers from Essentials: Katharine Cutaways and black cardstock to add a simple frame.  I adhered it to the card and then adhered the adventure I cut from pattern paper by Elle's Studio.

Today I am joined by Heather Hoffman, Vanessa Menhorn and our dear, talented friend, Kate Capper!  Wait until you see what awesomeness they have in store for you!
