Hey everybody!
Gayatri with you today. Second post for this month. Today I am sharing with you a card using watercolour technique. I love to watercolour and I also love to make my own background. Winnie & Walter has beautiful floral outline sets that can be used to colour. I have used one such stamp set on my card below.
The stamp sets I have used are In Bloom: Elsa’s Flora and In Bloom: Addie’s Garden. The roses and leaves are from Elsa’s Flora and the delicate flower branch is from Addie’s Garden. I stamped, masked, stamped and heat embossed the cluster of flowers and leaves in black. This process took a bit of time to start with but then once I got the hang of it, the process became quick. Then I watercoloured the embossed images with Zig watercolour pens. I shaded the background with grey pen adding darker shades to nooks and corners. Once this panel was dry, I die cut using the smaller rectangle from Essentials: Katharine Cutaways. This panel is layered on the large black scalloped panel die cut from Essentials: Noelle Cutaways. The black scalloped border and the black heat embossed images makes the colours on the panel bright and beautiful.
Then I die cut the sentiment strip from Essentials: Noelle Cutaways. I gold heat embossed the sentiment from The Big, the Bold and Friends stamp set on the black strip and adhered on the panel. The whole panel is then adhered on a pink card base. Finally embellished with Pretty Pink Posh 6mm and 4mm sequins. Everything is matchy matchy J I like it. Just change the flowers from the stamp set and colours, you will get a brand new card. Easy peasy!
Hope you are inspired by my card.
Thanks for stopping by!
Just stunning, Gayatri! LOve all the W&W blooms!

Gorgeous card. It so happens that I used these rose and leaves stamps last week to do a little test run using my new Zig markers. Now I want to use these supplies again to make a card...
