Hi everybody!!
Just when you thought I couldn't possibly come up with any more designs with my Winnie and Walter goodies, I have another five cards for you today!! Its my 'Day 2' of the Spotlight series and I'm so excited to be back on the Winnie and Walter blog.
As I mentioned on Day 1, the theme for this month is 'Friendship', so have made cards with all my bloggie friends in mind. My last post also concentrated on the 'Cover Model: Multifaceted Cutaway'. This time I decided to try more colour and stamping (although that die slipped into one of the cards.....).
I really hope you enjoy these creations and thanks again to Shay and Julie for having me back!
For this card, I cut a panel from white CS that was smaller than the card front. I die-cut a circle (from Couture Creations) and also die-cut the 'In a Word: Hugs Cutaway' three times from white CS as well. These were all glued together and adhered over the circle. I stamped and heat embossed in white the 'Mini Scenery: Multifaceted' stamp on some water colour paper. I coloured it by water colouring using Distress Ink 'Peacock Feathers'. Once dry I attached it to the card front. The 'hugs' panel was popped up on foam tape and I added sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Just love the freshness of blue and white!
For my second card, I stamped the heart from 'My Precious' using my Hero Arts 'Mid Tone' Shadow Inks. I die-cut the 'In a Word: Hello Cutaway' three times from white CS and used a banner stamp from Waffle Flower 'Congrats' to stamp the colours across one of them. After gluing the die cuts together, it was adhered to the card front. Rainbow goodness!!
I thought I had better include a one-layer card somewhere. I stamped the sentiment (from The Big, the Bold and Friends') in black and then the Gerbera (from 'In Bloom: Addie's Garden'). Lots of Wink of Stella was added to the middle of the flower and of course I had to scatter some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
This is the card where the 'Cover Model: Multifaceted Cutaway' die demanded it be used. This was left-over from a card on Day 1, where I used just the triangle pieces (its a piece of water colour paper coloured with Distress Inks). I adhered this to some black CS and then to the card front. I cut a panel of white CS, die-cut the circle (from Couture Creations') and put it on foam tape over the card.
I stamped and heat embossed the flowers and leaves from 'In Bloom: Addie's Garden' in gold and also the sentiment from 'The Big, the Bold and Friends' on white CS. I fussy cut them all out, layered the flowers and leaves over the side of the circle and popped the sentiment up on foam tape. I also added lots of Wink of Stella to the 'Multifaceted' die but its hard to see in the photo. Love the colour against the black!
This is my final card and its a special one for all of my wonderful bloggie friends who have supported me since the beginning and always given me such encouragement. I wouldn't have carried on blogging if it wasn't for you, so big 'In a Word: Hugs Cutaway' to you all!!
I used my favourite water colouring technique on these flowers. I stamped them all on water colour paper using Distress Inks. I then used a wet brush to bring the colour into the flower from the outlines. It creates such a soft and pretty look. I fussy cut them all out and adhered them in layers on the card front. The 'hugs' was die-cut twice from white CS and once from gold CS before being glued together and popped up on foam tape. Love the gold with the water colouring.
Well, I've come to the end of my exciting two days on the Winnie and Walter blog. I really hope you enjoyed all my creations and I've encouraged you to rush out and buy these products (if you don't have them already). Thanks again to Shay and Julie for this amazing experience and I'm sure I will see you all around in blogland. Stop by my blog for a vist, would love to hear from you!!
Take care
Shona
