>>>ABOUT MARLENE<<<

Hello dear stampers!

My name is Marlene and I live in beautiful Switzerland with my love of my life and two shy cats from an animal shelter. I have been crafting for just about as long as I can rememberCardmaking is my favorite pastime and became my passion a very long time ago. I discovered Winnie & Walter in January 2014 and I’m using their amazing products steady. I love the diversity of the W&W products and how I can combine stamps, cutfiles, dies and stencils.

A couple weeks ago, Shay & Julie invited me to create and share a project for “Spotlight on…” I was very surprised and I’m happy to be here! So I hope you’ll like what I have made for you.

So, let's start it:

>>>MARLENE's PROJECTS<<<

The fabulous theme “Fiesta” gives a lot of opportunities to create. For my first card I used the small frame from Katharine cutaways and cut a piece of white cardstock. I stamped two triangles from Scenery it's a wonderful pennant  and cut out the inner part.  I drew both stems with a black fine liner pen and sewed a piece of white vellum on top. For the background I colored a piece of white cardstock with Distress Inks. Afterwards I stamped the pattern with embossing ink and embossed it with clear powder for more effect. The sentiment and the cute little star was stamped with coordinating Distress ink and covered with Glossy Accents and Stickles. Then I assembled all pieces to a shaker card and I filled it with the fabulous birthday bash sequins mix.

In April we’re going to celebrate many birthdays and newborns. I've painted balloons in different colors on heavy watercolor paper. For the sentiment I used The big the bold blessings cutaways and In a word happy cutaway. I love the dimension of the orange glitter fun foam♥ At the end I added some confettissequins and enamel dots.

For the stamped string I used Scenery stripes stamp set and The party stamp set to create a bakers twine look by using kissing technique.

And today is my sweethearts birthday, so I've made a card in his favorite John Deere colors.
 ♥ Happy birthday ♥

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  6. Marlene, I can see why the 'spotlight' is on you, based on these amazing cards and those I scrolled through on your blog! Your talent and creativity with the W&W products you've used here is impressive; you've certainly made them the 'stars of the stage' in all three creations. Love the 'celebration' of the first with the wonderful shakers and colours, and your balloon cards....pure delights! The John Deere colours make me smile...my mom's brothers, who farm in northern Canada, as all JD guys, too! Thanks for sharing these with us...inspiring in every way!
