Hello.
Can you believe its my third week already? February is flying by.
So after last weeks pink parade i said i had something different for you, and this week i have focused on Winnie and Walters creative screenings.
They are so versatile with lots of uses and a great way to add some colour or texture to your projects.

My first card is full of colour and it all started with using the scenery: classic circles creative screening with distress markers.
I simply coloured in randomly so there was no order to it.
I was going to make this a shaker card but changed my mind when i managed to forget to add acetate to my frame lol
So its a faux shaker ;)
I used the big bang confetti cutaways and some clear sequins all adhered with glossy accents.
I added the cake after i coloured it with copics.
The final piece is the metal die cut sentiment, i think it really makes a statement.

This card is actually the third card i made but it made sense to show it next as its a shaker card.
The background uses the scenery: classic stars creative screening and is a left over from the next card.
Inside the shaker i have used sequins and some of the party confetti cutaways.
Once the shaker element was made i added the cupcake from sugar rush.
For the sentiment I used in a word: happy die with some red fun foam , it cut beautifully.
And finally i added a smaller sentiment made using Essentials: Katharine Cutaways and the big the bold and party stamps.

After the busyness of the other cards its back to my comfort zone, clean and simple.
I used the scenery: classic stars creative screenings, firstly i used a sponge dauber to add white ink.
Once that dried i then added the colour directly over the white stars with the stencil still in place.
The colour wouldn't have been so true if id gone straight onto the kraft card.
Now once the coloured ink was on the creative screening i didn't clean it , instead i spritzed with a mini mister and place watercolour card over it pressing down to get good contact and to soak up the colours.
That then became the background to the previous card.

Now although stencils are great for adding colour like the other cards its doesn't have to all be bright colours.
For this card i used the duo: the big, the bold and extras creative screening.
I taped it to my  card  and masked of around it it before covering with versamark.
Then carefully removed all of the masking and added some glittery gold embossing powder.
Once embossed it gives texture and a great effect.
I had to add more though  so used the scenery: classic diagonal creative screening on my card base with black distress ink.

Again i have used the scenery: the big, the bold and extras creative screening , this time i have used the other flower.
This was a bit of a happy accident.
I wanted  a black flower so have used black distress ink on water colour card.
The plan was to remove some of the ink with clear water and a paper towel to give some shading effects but that didn't work so well .
I decide to leave it as is then i masked the black inked flower  with a post it note and used the scenery: v for chevrons creative screening.
Then  using  versamark before  removing all the masking and stencils i added some of what i thought was gold embossing powder ...turns out it was platinum but i think it worked better.
As the black ink hadn't completely dried  some of the powder also stuck to the edges of the flower.
keeping with the colour scheme i used some silver card with the thanks die cut.

Julie and Shay have very kindly given me $30 gift card to the winnie and Walter store to give away on my blog.
