>>>ABOUT YANA<<<

yana-smakula-2013-600x600

Hi everyone! I'm Yana! I’ve been married for a little bit over two or three years now, no kids but we do have two black cats and we can’t live without them!

Together with my hubby I love to travel across the world and meet new people, discover new cultures and just explore. Our next dream destination is Madagascar, I hear the nature there is simply breathtaking!

I enjoy scrapbooking and I mostly scrapbook about our travels (I often take long pauses from scrapbooking when I have no new travel photos to scrapbook). My other passion is cardmaking – I enjoy trying new products and techniques, experimenting and creating in different styles. I’m very much into stamping and die cutting although I never really though I was until I took a closer look at my cards and noticed almost all of them use stamps and dies!

>>>YANA'S PROJECTS<<<

My first project features a background using texture paste and  Scenery: Persuasion Script Creative Screenings  stencil. I also used beautiful flower images from the The Big, the Bold and Extras set to stamp and cut out the flowers. Finally I added a big bold Love to the top left part of my project using a stamp from the The Big, the Bold, and the Happy set. Several of the black dots trio from The Big, the Bold and Extras set were stamped directly onto a textured background to give my project a finished look.

My second project uses the Scenery: V for cheVron stamp set to create a fun and modern background for a Valentine's Day card. To tone the background down a bit I added a layer of vellum. I did some of my stamping directly on vellum and also stamped and cut a few elements out using the You've Got Love Mail and The Big, the Bold, and the Happy sets.
